Think how much scratch this idiot could have made just from all the NeoGAF nerds. Even if they are even more insane with the SJW shit than goons (unlikely) could just wall them off in their own little subforum, make the old mods into mods of that forum, and let them post whatever in their own enclave. I guess being Elitist On The Internet is more important than feeding the baby or paying the mortgage or having dignity.

That's why I never got the whole meme of the right-wing troll being a basement dweller when after looking at the ratking the SJW identity politics left seems to be far more prevalent in its tardbux status.

Same, after Trump I regularly crowed about the connections between him and Gamergate until some DND troon banned me, and good riddance since the final straw for me was letting Hillary toxxers stay.

Yup, I'd put money on FAU and the other mods having text files/spreadsheets on their desktops of people that have pissed them off that they use as a reference for banning people.

It's funny how both them and us essentially live by "no shit is too minor" but each camp took it in drastically different directions.

It’s still going on today. Anyone that is somewhat right leaning is on a list of users maintained by d&d/ape cage forum posters. If they make an appearance it’s an instant “oh it’s xxx Trump,supporter/Nazi/bigots etc”.

Then a mod swoops in to probate them for wrongthink because odds are they disagreed with the hive leftist mind.
