guess i'll wait for whenever the paywall goes down...
or if someone already has an account here..

I believe there are certain parts of the forum that are perpetually fenced off behind a paywall, unless that changed at some point in the last however long it's been since I was banned (15+ years), so even as a guest there's likely parts you cannot see without an account. That said, it's still not worth buying an account even to see that stuff because:
- Everyone, literally everyone, who posted in the threads that are worth reading have been banned and it's depressing to look at.
- Most of the historical content on the forums was "second-party" hosted by this dogshit service called WaffleImages that died eons ago so most media-heavy threads contain almost no content because Lowtax never implemented an attachments system directly into SA.
- Even if it's $10 you're supporting the residual income of a massive faggot, even if those kickbacks are dwindling with every passing month Jeffrey relies on looky-loos curious about the history of the relic he purchased from a pillhead to do exactly that: justify blowing ten bucks because "it's not that much".

Also sharing account credentials is weird gayops shit. No one here who has an account, even an abandoned one they haven't used since W was in office, is going to give you theirs assuming they can even access it to begin with.

i was thinking they private message me and then save said page on archive.is and send the link.. but sure eh
SA has very little traffic nowadays and everyone even remotely funny left a long time ago.
i think i got that part pal imagine the alt timeline where Lowtax sold it...

? It probably has higher traffic than the Kiwi Farms, or roughly the same.

Or you could just pay the $10 if there's something you want to read? Why do you need a council of kiwis to approve this massive expense?

As of right now -

Something Awful still has more activity. They have more users logged in but, around 1,000 less visitors (Registered + Guests) than KF.

It doesn't, not even close. I've talked about SA's traffic in the past where it halves every year or two but it's about to dip below 1 million page views monthly. Not 1 million unique visitors, 1 million visits.

Hard to estimate how many regular users there are but it's probably below 20,000. I visited about a year ago and the amount of new posts in most forums was startlingly low. Quite a few get almost no traffic.

No you can't determine traffic by number of users at any given point. SA users stay logged in a lot longer than sites and have many more page views than most other forums including vs kiwifarms. Their clientele is very small but spends a lot of time on the site, most have literally been there for decades at this point.

It's worth noting that traffic to websites is down all across the board. That's even true of Youtube.

You can see this most starkly in the Games forums, specifically PGS. Circa 2015~ you could find a group or server for any game, there was two dozen WoW guilds going, Goon EVE was still going strong.

Now? Theres maybe 10 active PGS threads, all the major WoW guilds are outright dead, even the community for ARC RAIDERS, one of the hottest games out atm, is just a handful of Goons. The site is just full of sunk-cost troons who dont fit in anywhere else, entirely insular without any cultural influence.

Ok, but we're not online marketers trying to figure out of it's worth advertising on the site, so pure "traffic" is less important than the number of active posters. The way you phrased it made it sound like it's a complete ghost town, and that's not really the case.

That seems in line with what Jeffrey has posted:

Do they have your ip address? like for example know if you have had an account before and the reason for the ban? and they ban you again out of spite

I logged in to my old account. There is very little that anyone without an account is missing it's just a few subforums about being gay, being brown and a buy/sell forum.

And yeah, not sharing my account credentials, I wouldn't even give them to Dyn back in the day so I definitely won't give them to a zoomer.

The contact information section of my profile is amusing, image attached.

Yes, they have your IP address. Use a VPN, you should be doing that anyway. And they have to check accounts manually if they suspect someone is a perma-banned rereg, which they usually won't bother to do unless you post something crazy like "I don't think people with XY chromosomes can be women".
