Back before my ban, I was in the GBS Ukraine War thread.

There was alot of behind the scene mod drama over that, the thread was even closed people were sent to the DnD thread where the IK with some mushroom avatar would probate people like crazy.

Someone got a black sun AV and screamed how it was Illegal in their country and mods/admins had a problem because jeff most likely explained that hatefull avatar purchases were what pays the bills.

One of the IK for that thread was a cis woman who mentioned she was a cis woman so the trannys made her be demoded.

But I take issue with one thing. There are good that are/were prorussia because russia was communist. So the level of schizo posting between different goon factions was insane because russia is ether a CHUD hellscap or proper socalist society that tricked by the evil chud nations.

Shit was wild Yo.

Relatedly, I've been replaying the original Resident Evil 2 and reading thedarkid's let's play of it. Before his life turned into a grim 80s action movie, apparently he was living some kind of comedy that would involve getting smashed over the head with a ukulele.

Maybe you're thinking of this Splatterhouse LP from 2007? It's video, but I don't think it would have made much sense to do a screenshot LP of a side-scrolling beat-em-up.

The earliest one I remember reading was a let's play of Final Fantasy V posted in the end of 2005. It wasn't the first one ever, but that's around the time they were getting popular. It had the right idea of what a screenshot let's play should be: a compressed version of the game with informative and amusing comments where relevant (by the standards of that time, anyway; it's a real time capsule of goon humor from that era).

From what I've seen, the standard format for screenshot LPs nowadays is to just screenshot/transcribe every single line of dialogue and maybe occasionally comment on game mechanics with all the excitement of an in-game tutorial. Absolute AIDS, dunno what the audience for that is.

I am listening to slowbeef's stream about thedarkid right now. Apparently, the troon that he accused Speedball of sexually harassing was the only person who stood by him after all his lies came out. Someone in the comments described this person as "very unwell," what a surprise.

EDIT: He also claimed to be bisexual very late in the discord's existence so he could post in the LGBT channel.

They saw how popular the Danganronpa LP was doing it in this manner, but didn't understand that was because the guy was translating a game that just wasn't available in the west.

He would have conversations with his Hikkiari sockpuppet while no one else was in the discord

Someone saw the Hikkiari sockpuppet on another discord after his "death," said hi, and "she" never posted there again

Someone on the stream speculated that the guy who showed up in this thread and on Twitter who claimed his real name is "Ryan Kelly" might have been another sockpuppet for an abandoned arc. He seems crazy enough to me that this could be a legitimate possibility

He recommended Outer Wilds to people but later admitted that he hadn't actually played it

You're a bit wrong. The comments on game mechanics are more often than not incorrect if you know anything about the game in question. So all the excitement of an in-game tutorial, but without the informative value.

When I do background checks for people I actually like on new hires, I have a special code I use for when I find an active fetlife account that I don't put on the official paperwork but comes across a different media.

It's TWI (Train Wreck Imminent) and I include their top horrifying and hilarious profile or forums posts. I've probably saved a few hundred thousand in lawsuits and lost productivity. I for sure have saved a few mill in divorce attorney/alimony/ child support fees because I know the second a BPD Latina with goddess measurements, and a BDSM/impregnation fetish for ahold of my boy, without warning he would have been homeless when she was done
