It's always sad. Some mods/admins naturally fit there - Garbage Day was one - but the rest desperately trying to get FYAD approval is always just pathetic. It's funny when someone FYAD hates does it, though, and FYAD just uses it as an opportunity to shit all over them. Ralp trying to win FYAD approval was pretty funny.

Giving mods/admins ultimatums is absolutely pointless if you're not going to follow through. The Lowtaxes shouldn't have done it unless they were 100% willing to demod/deadmin people who didn't follow their instructions. All they've done now is expose their own weakness and make it even easier for mods/admins to ignore them in the future.

What pisses me off is they cant argue why the thread is bad. Its alway "reasons" or "I was getting a bunch of PMs"
or "It ran out of steam" FFS just say why its bad and be done with it.

That's what's so ridiculous. They *know* that BBG is only doing this to fuck with GBS but they're going along with it anyway. Just like they went along with the whole "delete GBS" thing.

FYAD does not give the slightest shit about SA providing safe spaces. If they did, the first forum whose rules would need to change would be their own.

To add some context. FYAD started migrating to Twitter and other places a long time ago. They do not care about "making Something Awful great again" in the slightest. They just want it to crash and burn in the manner which amuses them most.

Lowtax knows this and yet still stands idly by fiddling while Rome burns.

Even if he did, it would stay clean for the few days/weeks he bothered to hang around.

It needs to be nuked from orbit at this stage. Archive the whole thing and charge people for access. Enough people still think it was the funniest thing ever that they'd pay to access old content.

Give people a month's notice so people can set up new sites more to their taste and promote them before SA closes.
