Punishment reason: 'Dumbass white noise' (by FactsAreUseless)

I get tired of the "well word X doesn't add to the comedy argument". If every thread and every post on SA is required to be funny, then half of the sub-forums need to be closed right now as comedy is not their main purpose.

I also get tired of what amounts to the "superiority" argument. It's absolutely possible to make a point without using slurs, but until SJWs are willing to do so why should that requirement be imposed on anyone else?

A decade ago we used to ridicule people who resorted to calling other people Nazis during internet disagreements. Now we go out of our way to cater to the sensibilities of those people, and it's not because we've somehow "evolved".

Sounds like a racist tbh

She got upset about silly Beyonce shops? What, you can't make funny photoshops of people who happen to be black?

Now you're getting it. You can't mock or criticise anyone who happens to belong to a minority group because doing so is literal violence and oppression and hurts the feels of other people who belong to that same group and might make them want to kill they are selves.

Or something. Don't even try to understand the logic because it's not consistent and the goal posts keep moving.

I don't think he's going to fix SA anytime soon.

Fixing SA would require him being actively involved on a daily basis, and that's not going to happen. Even if it did, the minute he's not around actively intervening things will just return to their previous state.

The mods and admins know this and tend to treat Lowtax's return like a visit from an unpleasant relative. They know it won't last forever and just tend to wait it out.

Lowtax does tend to encourage that view. For all of his occasional bouts of "who cares what tumblr/twitter thinks", he still buys into trying to accommodate the SJWs instead of suggesting that maybe they'd be happier at some other online community.

Plus they still don't get the total lack of awareness they are broadcasting: they're always so insistent that no one try to speak for the plight of people they don't understand, but at the same time they don't realize that it is not their place to tell you what you intended with your speech or whether a thing you support serves your interests. They're all too eager to dismiss your point as invalid because it fails to achieve a goal that you never claimed it was meant to in the first place.

This is the damning flaw of running a forum like a business and treating members like customers. When your website is dependent on members giving you money, you are beholden to them.

He could at least de-mod some of the garbage moderators before he gets bored again.

If anything I'd say SJWs hurt business. They scare off funnier and more interesting posters and content creators who in turn attract more members.

If Lowtax purged the cancer I think new members, lurkers and ex-goons would quickly take their place. The second he stood down a hotpocket, users came out of the woodwork now that they didn't have to keep silent under threat of ban.

Seriously, the worst case scenario is that the SJWs stick around but have to co-exist with people who disagree with them. That's still a serious improvement.

I think it's a wash, though. SJW SA deters a lot of people who would otherwise pay Lowtax money. Certainly none of the SJWs worry about the effect that censorship has on SA's bottom line. They'd be more than happy for every "Nazi" or "alt-right" person to be permabanned and for now more to join.

All Lowtax is really choosing is which group's money he would rather be getting. Whatever direction the site takes, people unhappy with that direction will leave/not join. Whichever group remains will determine the content and the tone of the site, so really Lowtax should be making that choice based on what *he* wants the site to be and the rest of us be damned. There are literally millions of other site available to anyone who doesn't find SA to their taste. It's not 1999 any more. It's trivially easy and cheap to set up your own online community if you can't find an existing one which caters to your wants.

I feel like going to SA and demanding it cater to your feelings, given that it was established primarily to mock special snowflakes, is like going to Stormfront and demanding they cater to progressives/minorities. You're the one who chooses what communities you join. Why choose ones which offend you if you're not just concern trolling?

It's not a matter of equivalency, though. SJWs are objectively unfunny cancer who poison every community they touch. It's not like Lowtax is choosing between that and Neo-Nazis. The fact is there's a lot of people in the middle who just want to have fun and make comedy who are being purged for wrongthink. Those are the users who made SA what it once was.

You make a very good point.

They wanted to conquer and transform it into their hive of enforced tolerance. And they've proven that such a plan can work.

They're also the people who just quietly leave without anyone knowing why.
