I guess it's not like there isnt a small-but-steady trickle of retards willing to sign up to be a part of the baddest site on the internet (that still respects people's feelings and gender identities). Before I dropped off entirely I hung around a bit on SomethingSensitive and the guys there speculated that Lowtax was fudging the numbers of people signing up, so that the site would still look relevant. I think it was just those guys being spergs but I kind of wonder.

I remember back when, SomethingAwful had the same type of warning you have here on these forums when you sign up: it's gonna ruin your life, goons are mean and ruthless and are going to dox you and find your secrets and air them, then spam your mailbox with dicks and dildos just because theyre jerks and you posted in their cool kid playhouse without actually being cool. Now look what it's become. It never was, but it aired itself as being an edgier more dangerous 4chan/ /b/ and IIRC a lot of the 4chan shit was a splinter of SA anyway, m00t was a goon right?

SA ruins your life but not in the way they advertise it as ruining your life.

I think Ralp might have been a mod under some scrutiny for being a huge fag, by the guys over at SomethingSensitive. If he's not a mod anymore, I dont know why, but Im positive he's still friends with them, the fact that they're chain probating him is some sort of joke or something, because the "inner circle" of SA is too much of a circlejerk for them to turn on each other without being publicly ousted for something like pedophilia.
 
Ralp ran the entirety of SA as the head Admin while Lowtax was making videos with Shmorky and going on trips to Canada and China for like 2 years

The cat ladies were more respected than Ralp. I can think of no hotpocket over there more reviled than Ralp. Ever. And it is all because he is a humorless cipher. Aartek is a running joke but Ralp is comedy's antiparticle.
 
Ralph killed the Hellthread by moving it do D&D even though it did a great job of keeping Gamergate discussion out of the rest of the forums.

Then, after it morphed a bit into a fairly civil discussion about representation in video games, he closed it because no one was talking about Gamergate, even though diversity in video games is one of about half a dozen topics that fall under the umbrella of "talking about Gamergate". The guy was furious that the Hellthread existed.

It's funny because I distinctly remember the reason that thread was made was that Lowtax thought it was dumb that discussion of it was being banned all across the internet.

I don't even like gamergate but the lengths that websites went to to censor only ended up giving it credibility.
 
Spanish Manlove, a previous GBS moderator, closed a precursor to Hellthread (after changing its title to "you can post Goatse in this thread without getting probated") and that was when Lowtax started it. I don't know why he allowed ralp to gas it but it must have been after a lot of begging. Neither moderator ever really talked about why they hated the thread so much- they were very bad at communication.

Also, I've heard that ralp used to be called "rape" but can't confirm that. It feels like a lot of these people were trying to run away from their past.

Why do goon mods always have to be such faggots about abusing their power? If they want to ban someone they don't like or close a thread they don't approve of they should just do it instead of jumping through a dozen hoops to make it look technically rule conform. Nobody is buying it. The other goons won't give the mods shit for it because they would obviously just abuse their power to fuck with them, not because they have been fooled.
