Notch does this shit all the time though. Imo he legit doesn't care, and why would he? He's a billionaire so he has no reason to get emotionally invested in internet slapfights.
He outbid Beyonce and Jay Z for the most expensive house in Beverly Hills using money he got mainly from people spending their tardbux on Minecraft it's safe to say he doesn't give a shit

Now you can finally pay off Vordrak!

Everybody set their watch to the start of another cycle of his manic-depressive slides. What will be finished first? Something Awful Goonbeer or the forums getting updated?

Tune in again in 6 months to find out more!

Even that has me scratching my head at his logic here. If he hates it, then why keep it open in the first place?
I doubt @Lowtax can function in any work environment that explicitly bans ambien and wine during work hours.

So it was all just a social experiment :story:
Sweetness, sweetness I was only joking
When I said I'd like to smash every tooth
In your head
Oh sweetness, sweetness, I was only joking
When I said by rights you should be
Bludgeoned in your bed

Quick! Someone ban the Ambien and Booze!

In all seriousness, You're probably right, though usually hosting a site means you got to take charge. Though this being @Lowtax, his definition of "running a website" amounts to "Avoid at all costs". So who am I to say?

It's his only source of income. And getting a new job is tough since he spent the last decade or so playing video games with Shmorky instead of gaining actual real world skills. Goons will continue to be morons who will keep re-registering or just flat out donating him money so he can pay alimony and sit on his ass all day.

Apparently Lowtax is making an article about the Notch tweets, who knows, maybe this was the plan all along and will lead to a high quality comedy article (:optimistic:).:

On who, you?

Hate to say it, but you're right. Though the question remains- What will happen when the money finally dries up? What will happen once there's no more Goons to sucker?

If you think about it, it's very poetic that Lowtax runs the forum that's the most rabid against the hilarious internet scam machine known as Star Citizen. In so many ways it is Something Awful the videogame. An owner that obviously hates the project and wishes he could turn it in to something else thats married to a foreign lady that anyone with a set of eyes can see is going to end very, very poorly and in a very expensive manner. Dude's always hounded by weirdo sycophants AND detractors with nothing better to do than obsess over how poorly he's operated his business, spent his money and failed to deliver on promises that people have paid for (Search). Both have dealt with massive misogynists, poor community managers and even pedophiles being closely associated with development that have been egregiously mishandled from the top down upon the discovery of their very public transgressions and have bought houses and nice cars for themselves while not delivering. The only difference is that Chris Roberts atleast had the sense to get out of middle America and set himself up in Santa Barbara as a place to drive his exotic sports car and made his wife hang out with the fat piece of shit friend who mistreats people instead of making a youtube channel with him.

Sounds like DSP if DSP had even one friend.
