On the plus side, Jeffery of YOSPOS seems like a super even-handed mod for the most part that understands things like jokes, humor and sarcasm/satire.

I typically only browse YOSPOS and occasionally FYAD and often find the YOSPOS dudes to be more funny than FYAD. *shrugs* Kind of blows that whole nerds suck thing out of the water.

The post I got probated for is here: http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?goto=post&postid=465276741 The reason was "Gamergate chat will be met with brute force," which is funny because people were talking about it in the thread before either of my posts about it, but pretty much everyone else was strongly against it and didn't get probated.

I don't really want to go back after this, though. The GG threads on SA were what cultivated my nuanced view of the subject, and it's a shame that my opinions on it are punishable now. I don't hate @Lowtax or anything but I understand that the forums have become like the late Holy Roman Empire, where Lowtax/the Emperor has little power and the individual forums/states basically makes their own rules. It sucks but I know it won't get any better. At least I won't get yelled at for being nuanced here.

EDIT: It also really sucks that GG didn't give SA any credit for allowing the hellthread to exist when it was up.

@Lowtax likes to blame his hotpockets for his own policies. But he actually just ignores it while they turn his site into an SJW cuck factory where expressing any opinion right of Mao Tse Tung gets you instabanned.

(OTOH I gave you a "You Are Not Dynastia" ban while you're actually Dynastia and more or less got away with that.)

I've been following the site for years! But miss a lot of the old writers a bunch. I feel like awful link of the day could still be super relevant. The fake social media pages were super great. I'm depressed there hasn't been a barkwire update in a year.

I didn't find shmorkys voice to be super annoying. I thought he sounded like a weird cartoon character;sort of how I conceptualized the guy but I suppose a change like that would be jarring. I suppose the smell of catpiss and obnoxious girlfriend could be bad. I dont know I just wanted to see it work out in the end lol.

Shmorky was talented as fuck though when he was collaborative. I feel like the tumblr circle left him less collaborative, more isolated, and without friends and collaboration he doesn't really animate.

Always thought the sass guys were super nostalgic for an era long gone. It makes sense the site isn't what it used to be, Dave chapelle isnt the top rated comedy show, bush isn't in office ect. I think what I legit miss is the tight nitness it used to have. You'd have fake fueds, a dedicated hentai reviewer, a music reviewer troll ect. I think it's just a matter of trying new things. The site seemed able to last forever because the internet was and is constantly changing. A new thing creates a new feature ect.


But regardless of that, what do you think of our Lord and Savior Christian Weston Chandler?

A few of them did early on before the Hellthread era. I remember it being mentioned briefly in one of the IA videos. But then again Jim's clearly an ex-goon himself judging by the references he's made over the years, possibly even one of the original SASS people.

For those that can't figure out what the stuff I've quoted is about, I'll describe the situation in more detail. Every election SA's political subforum has a set of threads where you can bet your account that a certain candidate will win. If that candidate wins you get nothing, if he loses your account is banned and you likely immediately pay ten dollars to reregister. In this particular case though an unfunny, power tripping moderator has decided that anyone who bet on Trump will instead be permabanned unless they post some stupid bullshit about how Trump sucks. ZDR, an admin, has backed him up. Setting aside the fact that I thought those "ban for Obama" threads were bullshit all along its ridiculous that these people are changing the rules halfway through. What about the people who never check that thread? What about the people who just don't want to suck Baloogan's cock?
