I mean, get the concept. They feel like they've got "the right" or an "Obligation" to set someone straight on something they feel very personally strong about.

But the difference between doing that constructively or doing that as a batshit insane rando on the internet is knowing that just because you've got a personal axe to grind, it doesn't mean everyone else in the world should be too. Sadly, not many people get this concept.

Oh, and not threatening to rape your kids helps too.

You see this shit a lot with the cows with SoSe ties, actually. I think it's why several that later turned out to be sex offenders immediately accuse others of said offenses. Projection at its finest.

Come to think of it, I have yet to see a single Quinn Ratking cow with SoSe ties that doesn't scream about harassment every twelve seconds while provably doing exactly what they're bitching about, if not worse.

I think it's fucking funny you have gotten so upset over that when you have a current mod/REAL INTERNET REPORTER that claimed on your forums that "POW" was killed in a deathcamp so stop worrying about him. Turns out, Caro is alive, and Brown Moses put him in that camp in the first place. You squawking and lying about your kids is fucking funny as hell after doing the same thing for years.

Lowtax logic: thousands of people across several comedy spin-off forums spanning over a decade are all the same kind of rape-threatening crazies who need to be held accountable for what other people they have no power over say, but how fucking dare you hold him accountable for anything that occurs at his company.

It is funny and the thread which spun off from it was hilarious, if utterly tasteless. I suspect if I started a "Poison Womb II" thread today, genesplicer would ban my ass and I'm not sure that Lowtax would reverse the ban on appeal.

I don't think Lowtax avoids the question intentionally, but it would be nice to have some guidance on what types of "classic" goon humour are welcome in 2016 and which are not.

I'm not advocating bringing back the wild west. I do think goons often went too far in those days, especially when it came to contacting bystanders.

GBS rules need to be re-written from scratch. Every time "new rules" are posted, they're a copypasta of the old rules. And yet we know damned well that they're being applied differently than back in the day.

It is with me, too, but it's very much a part of "old" goon culture and old goon culture gets the panties of many current posters in a twist. I don't even know whether it's a problem which can be solved.

The old userbase and the new userbase want different environments and from a commercial point of view it's smarter to go with whatever is going to bring in new users who are willing to spend money even if that drives away the old user-base (who, for the most part, have probably already spent as much as they're ever going to spend).
