Oh, ok. That makes the drama make sense. ED didn't explain why there was problems between the two beyond something that wasn't made public. Claiming child abuse is pretty serious.

So anyone from Something Sensitive I have a question: Why do you care so much about the Somethingawful boards?

If you don't like the boards now why don't you just move on? It doesn't seem like it's just because you enjoy making fun of the indivdual members since many seem to be really concerned with how Lowtax runs his forums as if he has the ability to turn back time and MAKE SOMETHINGAWFUL.COM GREAT AGAIN or something.

Yes, I understand your perspective, but based on my interactions with the guy it feels like you hate him because of something awful and then dressed it up retrospectively as a "looking down at" situation rather than just petulant mewling over a forum admin. Something awful is a shit forum for twats but I don't go there and I never have so I don't care.
 
I don't hate him to be honest and I stopped reading SA a long time ago. He's always struck me as a normal guy who got lucky on an income source and (sorta) ran it into the ground. I find it very amusing watching him pearl clutch over trolls attacking his children when 16 years ago as a young man he was pretty much doing the same sort of shit along with his userbase. I get it, I've got young children too and it's fun doing stuff with them that you're all interested in but he's said it himself that the internet is full of human trash so why he'd put them in livestreams and shit is beyond me. He's a z list internet celebrity with a gaggle of trolls that have been on him for over ten years so what does he expect.

Uh "Goons" is used to describe active members of SA. These SS people aren't Goons because (believe it or not!) they were too insane or terrible at posting on SA and were kicked out, hence their migration to Some Shithole and weird neverending campaign against me.

Hey now, our Illinois Nazis are Alt Righters, and they get very touchy if you lump them in with those dumb old men from Stormfront. It's a movement, you see. :rolleyes:

And by the by, a lot of us are still goons, because whether you believe it or not we still have active accounts and post on SA.


There's a no win situation when we post about SA, because there's 2 official party lines and you see them when people here look at us. Either we are a bunch of obsessed bitter ex-members trying to stalk Lowtax and ruin SA, or we're desperately trying to fix SA.

The truth is somewhere in between. A lot of us are banned, some aren't. Some still post a bit on SA, but aren't hugely active members, because there are still some aspects of the community we like. We post on SS because we can criticize the site there and you can't on SA without eventual consequences. Some people left on their own accord because the site was no longer what they enjoyed. For a lot of us, we mock SA and Lowtax because it amuses us to see the slow motion trainwreck and the broken conductors running the train, but there's a mix of sadness for a community we once liked which is why we'll put out theoretical suggestions as to how it could be fixed. But mostly SA is just another SJW site we mock like Reddit, Twitter, Gawker, etc.

Some of our userbase doesn't care about SA at all anymore. Remember that SASS 1.0 was exclusively made up of disgruntled current and former SA goons, but on my site we have a number of people who were never on SA and only 8% think we exist only to mock SA.
