A quick look through "Debate and Discussion"'s Climate Change Thread leads me to believe that this "not promoting shooting" thing is not going too well.

On the one hand, yes, they've both been probated for it. On the other hand, we're looking at 12 hours (as a placeholder, placed seven hours ago now) and 24 hours for meowmeowmeowmeow and Eric Cantonese respectively. It seems like discussion in that thread is trending toward extremist solutions:

I'm not sure if anybody from the SA moderation team is reading this, but I think discussion that hyper-fixates on the need for drastic, immediate changes beyond the rational or legal in the face of abject hopelessness isn't good. In fact, I believe it will probably funnel people toward agreeing or sympathizing with those who want to shoot people or cheer on people being shot. I'm a phenomenally lazy person and don't feel like skimming through the other political boards on SA for the paths that permissible rhetoric is leading posters down, but I don't think I'd be too surprised to see more of the above playing out.
 
It is actually surprising the climate thread or its C-SPAM twin have not produced their own Unabomber yet. This is where some of the angriest rejects of the forums congregate.

Somewhere in this thread someone posted a series of post from GBS. Where a non goon made a clear a sound observation regarding a trans issue.

He used the term biological men and biological women to point out that troons were using threats of phyical and sexual violence against biological women. AKA the troon vs terf debate

That was a perma ban.

Mentioning this website is a perma ban, Shiting on lowtax gets shut down over and over again.

They need to let posters like yug back, or apply the same strong moderation to black pill doom postings

Discord goons finally got scared enough of known Nazi Tempus Thales to do the work of making a new bot network to stop Nazis from penetrating their bureaucracy. Given how much they've been whining about Nazis they've been doing we can be confident that no Nazis will be involved in GDN's replacement.

The only reason they call everyone who mildly disagrees with the troon hivemind "nazis" is because to do otherwise would force them to come to terms with the obvious truth that normal people cannot stand trans people, and find this group particularly distasteful.
