One of the reasons that the modding at SA is so fucked up is because the mods generally don't bother to look at the context when someone reports a post. Another reason is that the only users who can report posts are Platinum, which means they paid $10 extra for that and some other features. If this sounds unfair to you, it should.

Yeah, SA is notorious for being a place with fair and reasonable moderating, where people are banned only when they really deserve it and the mods are never total assholes about it on the extremely rare occasion that they make a bad call.

I do agree that the pedophile thing is dumb though. There are so many other things you could criticize Lowtax for but the Aatrek thing wasn't his fault and trying to burn him with it guarantees he won't listen to anything else you have to say, even if you have a legit point otherwise.

I don't think Lowtax stopped posting here, he is just very busy writing that article about how he "tricked" "the alt-right" into laughing at him for "ironically" begging Notch for money on twitter.
