IIRC there was some picture purging when it was pointed out that the JList hentai games they were reviewing had out-and-out naked Lolis, but this is the first time actual content was deleted to appease the troon brigade.

There is zero interest in buying SA. It has no relevance or value in 2019. My guess is that Poor Richard will keep finding new angles on his Patreon and hope his parents croak and give him a big inheritance since they were successful people.

He should of unloaded the site when Eric Baumann ditched his a decade ago, he had tangible offers on the tables and he could of easily raked in 6 or 7 million.

Per Alexa and Similarweb, both current day Ebaumsworld and Fark are pulling in more traffic than Something Awful. Which is pretty wild to look at. Even among the web 1.0 dinosaurs, SA is underperforming. Like on one side you have the skeleton of a once mighty T-Rex on display, and on the other you have some chicken bones left over from KFC.

I think the biggest eye opener to me about SA's problems was when tumblr had its big implosion, and Tom Fulp then tried to capitalize on it for Newgrounds, to moderate success. Meanwhile, when NeoGAF had its big collapse, Lowtax was writing on GBS about how GAF refugees weren't welcome on SA. Which, on any other site would be reasonable, but for SA? Who could even tell the difference between the average NeoFAG and the average goon at this point?

It was a decent opportunity, all things considered, and he just fucked it away. At least Tom Fulp is still invested in Newgrounds.

The Patreon is only good for Richard, not SA. All the money is going to him, and none of it for fixing his site. Which is why you still get 502 gateway errors sometimes when you try to post and why search has been declared fixed and yet still remains broken at least three times this year.

While the Patreon is good for Rich’s pocketbook and ensures he’ll never leave, it also guarantees that the site will never improve and will never be put in the hands of someone who genuinely gives a shit. So that’s pretty great as far as irony goes.

That's the real reason for LT's silence on his forum (other than the general unpleasantness of goons). Talking to them risks expressing an unapproved opinion or letting an offensive joke slip through, thus losing his few remaining paypigs. They already meet and coordinate on discord and other offsite places, so it'd be easy for them to move elsewhere. Better for him to stay off as much as possible.

So I remember back in 2001 era, I d read the hentai game reviews and J list was a sponser I think there was even some straight JAV porn video reviews as well.

It was widely there were a bunch of IRC channels back before discord, people posted logs from them alot. That was how threadshitting raids were organized. The fags were widely known to have one, and when they made the "faggoon chat thread" there were lots of references to IRC & events happening on IRC.

When low-effort D&D commies showed up to derail and shit all over the BFC landlord thread a couple months back, there was no talk in the D&D threads about the awful capitalists or w/e. They just arrived enmass with mod protection to ruin a boring but otherwise productive thread.
