I told the furries (long ago) that we'd create a safe space for them if they admitted they were a furry. Then we got the list of them, I changed their AVs to the Star of Yiff, and confined them to a forum called something like the "Furry Funhouse" where they could talk about yiffing and fucking Chip and Dale and whatever they like. They were not able to post anywhere else. After a week, I used CSS to make green glass clouds fill their forum and murdered all their accounts. It was quite funny.

It's sad, isn't it? There was a time when we too once thought your average babyfur and the horrors of Pamperchu represented some kind of nadir of fucked-up-ness, and beyond was simply unthinkable.

Such a silly notion now that we know what we do. Now we've seen Deeker, Sick Nick, ADF... The list goes on. Just when you think you're enured to the horror, a new layer below reveals itself.

I haven't been active on the forums in around half a decade, because it stopped being fun for me to post there. People would try to one up each other with the typical "hey I'm trying to annoy you but TECHNICALLY I'm not breaking the rules so what are you gonna do" shit that kids do during long car rides ("I'M NOT TOUCHING YOU! I'M NOT TOUCHING YOU!" as they wave their hands in front of their older sister's face), and it was just a weird vibe overall for me there, so I moved to doing backend shit and mostly spending time with my family. I've got three kids, including a 5 month old, and my mom has been diagnosed with an extremely rare form of Leukemia that requires experimental treatment offered by only one hospital in the world, so I've been honestly busy with a lot of real life shit.

So whats the deal with getting rid of lurking cause for a period whenever I tried to read a thread I would just get that kid getting his neck broke by the window. Really killed my lets play buzz a few years back.

I think moving to XenForo will help SA a lot. Props on making the big jump, @Lowtax. Hope some folks turn up to help out with the conversion. I can't imagine it's going to be easy. Also, going to AWS would help reduce server costs, I think you mentioned you were going to do that as well.

Now I'm no gordon gecko business tycoon here, but it sounds to me like maybe you should try actually moderating and running your sole source of income yourself instead of handing over the reins to a convicted pedophile (aatrek), unfunny catladies (ozma fat, icequeen, etc), and random sadbrains you brought on without vetting who would actually be willing to run someone else's cash cow for free.
