SASS was originally started as a forum that wanted to make SA better, but Lowtax just wrote us off as permabanned pants shitting IRC trolls. That's when we found out that ~100 active shitposters on SASS was way more funnier than thousands of goons.

And SA could of been saved back then, but that ship has sailed years ago. Which is probably why LowT won't migrate the forums to new software (in addition to not being able to afford it). It's not the forums software that's the problem, it's the forum USERS. Migrating to Xenforo would be like putting new siding on a house infested with rodents, mold, and cat urine.

Such salt Lowtax is showing toward Notch. If he wasn't reliant on living off his userbase, he'd be less likely to show salt toward Notch.
 
I dont know how Canada works, but since his wife is a Canadian citizen isnt their daughter also a Canuck and eligible for Canadian health care? I know its a long drive from Missouri, but could they even do that?

Theoretically yes, but no. Canada has birthright citizenship just like the US, but healthcare in Canada is administered provincially and accessing most non-emergency primary care and benefits usually requires a provincial ID or analogous document. This is also setting aside the national shortage of GPs, potentially excruciating wait times, the disgusting cost of vision, dental and prescription drugs and the expense and hassle of making so many border trips.

Lowtax wouldn't take it. SA is still making double its operating budget (from Lowtax) - so its till making him money, but more important allows him to be mildly relevant and excise his will over a not completely insignificant number of people. He still has people french kissing his ass because he's lowtax! Holy shit! he'll never voluntarily give that up.

Lowtax has always been salty towards anyone more successful than him, even when he was successful. Remember his beef with Penny Arcade? Back when they were both hosted on Sam Jain's E-front, Lowtax said that the PA guys got paid their ad revenue, and he didn't. The PA guys said that was bullshit and it was the other way around. I don't know which story is true, but I think we all know how Lowtax thinks.

Lowtax has this weird attitude where he doesn't put any effort into anything, because he's just wacky, detached, self-deprecating cool dude and the interwebz make u dum, LOL! While when other people put time, effort, and care into something and get the fame, recognition, and (most importantly) money they deserve, he just has a pissy little snarkfest over it.
