It's funny to see these guys try to farm credibility with the "YouTube is not even my real job" angle. Since most of what they do is go after other creators in drama slap fights.

Notice how none of these commentary clique faggots ever bothered to call him out, and instead waited for some literal who channel to make the video. Where's the "Mutahar's engineer degree situation is crazy"?
The commentary community are a bunch of crabs in a bucket.

Calling yourself an "engineer" means nothing. It's not a real job description. It doesn't actually mean anything. In Canada, "engineer" means something different than the rest of the planet, adding to the irrelevancy and ambiguity of the term. At some point, in the 2000s programmers decided they'd sound cooler if they called themselves "engineers". Now zoomers are getting bent out of shape over the term, growing up thinking it meant something, while it never meant anything.
Hacker isn't a real job either and we made fun of Jason for labeling himself that. When you throw around a vague title like that around, you want people to associate it with something more impressive than you actually are which is worthy of mockery. Besides it's not just the engineer title claim. The guy claimed to have held jobs in fields he never did like cybersecurity. Jason, inspite of everything, actually had a job where he tried to "hack" into systems (aka send phishing emails), Muta doesn't even have that much.

Not saying the Sonichu medallion curse is real, but has there been a e-celeb who's wore one and hasn't self destructed?

My theory is that if you're retarded and spergy enough to obsessed with Chris, to the point of buying or making a replica of the sonichu medallion, your fate is already sealed. The world now just sees him for what he is.

I don't think that's the main issue is just the engineer thing. Muta claims to have worked as a "computer engineer," which is a real engineering job. He also said he worked in "cybersecurity" and he works a regular 9-5 job in an office, or that he owns a business with Employees. He's been very braggadocious about all of these things when it's likely he's lying about all of it. The Unsubscribe podcast clip tells me he goes around telling people this IRL as well. And he's called out other people for this too, so there's a hypocrisy argument there somewhere.

I think he lacks the knowledge to even qualify as a coder/programmer. Does he know how the hardware works (for example the Write Back/Write Through cache), or how to program with more advanced languages like Scala/Java/C++/C, or do highly advanced Python projects.
I don't deny, he knows a lot about setting up Arch linux, KVM, Blockchains but I doubt he is advanced enough to be a a SysAdmin/Working with servers. You can say he did a good thing by striking interest of younger audiences to experiment with Linux and Virtualization, but he is extremely shallow.
He's okay at summarizing the general consensus of other people, but he's not experienced enough in most fields to offer more than surface-level observations.

When it comes to video topics like major security news, he's probably just gonna read through articles. But since his video will probably bring more awareness than those articles, I'm willing to give it a grudging pass since the news is at least spreading without being overly sensationalized. The problems really start to rise when he begins interjecting his own opinions as anything more than an tech enthusiast and tries to make himself a position of authority.

Jason claimed to have a bazillion years of gamedev experience despite having never really worked as a gamedev. Constantly spreading misinformation and stating objectively false things.

Muta is allowed to call himself an engineer, and a cybersecurity expert. He has way more practical experience in these fields than the majority of people who are professionally employed with these titles. The bar is that low. For this reason it's ridiculous to see people get worked over it. These titles are eye rolling. The biggest criticism is using them ever, for anyone, at any time. It's been cringe. The biggest cringe is calling yourself an "ethical hacker". "Network engineer" gets a pass because there's nothing better that describes them.

more accurate to say this thread isn't a fan of indians. if muta wasn't indian this thread would be 10 pages at most.
all his character flaws can be pointed to him being indian.
Nigger, it's a sub-50 page thread about someone who's been big on YouTube for what, 5+ years? Compare that to Pirate Software's 1,000 page thread for 2 years of e-fame. Spare me the heccin' racism complaints.

He calls himself an engineer for the same reason he claims Youtube isn't his real job, and in fact he doesn't even consistently claim to be an engineer, sometimes he claims to work in the film industry, sometimes he claims to be a professional daytrader (lol), sometimes he claims to be a real estate mogul. He's a "cybersecurity expert" who posted a partially censored image of a strip mall near his house and talks about businesses near him all the time, and his best friend in the world Nuxtaku didn't even know what a phishing attack is. And an engineer? What kind of engineer? Sometimes he claims to be a video engineer, which is plausible enough (except for the fact that he definitely wouldn't have time to be a sloptuber if he was actually employed as a video engineer), but he doesn't even make sure that his camera focus is correct. Sometimes he claims to be a "computer engineer", and even if we assume that he means software engineer by that, we don't have any evidence that he even knows how to write terrible python code, which makes him less of a software engineer than Matt Parker. Sometimes he says he's not a super coder, but sometimes he claims he's working on upscaling software with enough merit that Microsoft would want to buy it. The guy just has a fragile ego and wants to seem like he's a rags to riches immigrant who got successful by working a 9 to 5 (he has directly claimed that he works a 9 to 5) and having Youtube and technology as a hobby.

Citation needed. Is there any evidence that Mutahar has "experience in these fields" besides him saying that he does?

His input when it comes to tech news is always surface-level stuff you could get from the summary of a news article. The most impressive thing I've seen him do is tinker around with linux, which is a far cry from his Microsaar delusions.

He claims to have gone to Japan multiple times for work and to even have lived there for a time. He mentions working in the film/tv industry and that he went to some haunted forest in Japan to shoot a documentary there yet there are no credits to his name. Were these turbo underground productions?

At this point the man lied so much and there are so many contradictions in what he says that I don't believe anything that comes out of his mouth.

Muta has been fucking around with computers for 20 years.

Can you run nmap? Ever touch IDA Pro? You are now more qualified than the majority of people employed in the cybersecurity industry.
Have you ever compiled a C++ program? You are now more qualified than the majority of people with the title "software engineer"

A 12 year old with 6 months experience can become qualified to do these jobs. The bar is incredibly low. The whole bootcamp industry was built around the simple fact you can take someone with zero knowledge and have them professionally employed as a "software engineer" in 6 weeks. These jobs are obviously going away with LLMs.

I've cleaned scratches with rubbing alcohol!
I've put band aids on finger cuts!
I'm allowed to call myself a doctor and a revascularization expert

Muta has been fucking around with computers for 20 years.
So have I.
Have you ever compiled a C++ program? You are now more qualified than the majority of people with the title "software enengineer"
And yet I do not title myself as one.

It would be like cooking some kraft mac and cheese then claiming your an experienced "chef" or changing your car's tire and claiming your a seasoned "mechanic".
Just because you fuck around with something as a hobby from time to time doesn't mean you should refer to yourself as an expert in that field unless you got something to show for it, otherwise it is just faggot attention seeking.

No one with an actual job can make videos every day, even if it's slop content. Making videos is time consuming like a motherfucker. Doing research, writing a script (or bullet points), editing the audio, editing the video, inserting clips/images. He usually makes 30 minutes videos, which means he probably takes almost 1 hour to record and trim it down, then he still has to do all the editing, capture the footage etc, idk.
Exactly, that’s why it’s such an obvious lie when he says YouTube isn’t his job. Of course it fucking is and he he has millions of subs and probably makes millions from it. Not sure why he has to lie about that.

He has way more practical experience in these fields than the majority of people who are professionally employed with these titles.
Does he though? I don't really watch his content so maybe he shows it off at times, but I've heard him talk about things in very vague ways but never really show anything. He's also a known bullshit artist, so he could be lying about all of his knowledge unless he specifically did something to prove otherwise.

Remember, even Maldy could string together a bunch of bullshit about a code cave and modifying Warden.

That is a doube edge sword. You start dropping some jargon normies will think it is extra impressive, but if someone who knows more calls you out then it would be easy for them to light you up if you are using terms wrong like "code cave".

Muta never really gets super detailed about technical stuff which doesn't help him back up his claims that he is an "engineer", but it also doesn't give people ammo to call him out for it either.
