Bloody hell, I finally kicked my racism, specism, sexism, misogynistic views, sadism, sociopathic tendencies, and being a serial killer, and here I was thinking I was finally a decent human being. NOW I have to start all over again because I want people to be healthy! If you don't mind, I'll be eating a cheesecake with 10 lbs of sugar poured on top.

And the "preferred pronouns" stuff is probably the most ridiculous thing of all. Pronouns are important in all languages and communication. You don't want to screw up such an essential part of communication. So of course, SJWs turn that part of communication into yet another minefield. Use a wrong pronoun and you're accused of "misgendering".

I realize this may be over-simplistic, to the point of being ignorant, but here's what I've gone by my entire life:

*If a person has a penis (or I think they do) they are a "he"
*If a person has a vagina (or I think they do) they are a "she"
*If I am incapable of guessing, they remain a "they"

I don't really factor in what the person "thinks" they are, or what they "identify" with. That stuff comes later. Basic identification for the purpose of communication starts with the pure anatomical factors. Male = he, female = she. After that, we can establish how you like to dress, who you like to fuck, what you put in your coffee, or where you want to vacation next year.

I think I can understand why some trans people get so upset about misgendering. They're trying so hard to appear as their identified gender that when someone gets it wrong, they feel like their hard work was in vain. If someone got an important part of your identity wrong, you'd probably be upset too.

I think I can understand why some trans people get so upset about misgendering. If someone got an important part of your identity wrong, you'd probably be upset too.

I'm asexual but I think the grey-A/demisexual stuff is bullshit. If you only want to have sex "sometimes", then you fall under the umbrella of normal, no matter how you choose to qualify "sometimes". And while I do believe asexuals have a right to call ourselves queer, I also think we need to be mindful of the fact that our issues and our history are distinctly different from those of LGBT folks, and be extra careful not to step on their toes.

Personally, I think people just make up these goofy labels on Tumblr because nobody wants to be classified as "cis scum" or "het scum", so they do all kinds of mental gymnastics in order to classify themselves as not cis or not straight. "I like wearing pants some days, so I must be genderqueer!" or "I can't be straight because I only like to screw people I know really well!" Which is an understandable response to the die-cis-scum style of ~social justice~ blogging, since nobody likes being told to die, but it's really unproductive because everyone's too busy going "Me too, me too!" to really think about the problems faced by actual transsexual people and actual LGBT+ people. And the SJWs are fueling it with their violent statements and blanket judgements that encourage these kids to try to route around their privileges instead of examining them. (Of course I posted something like this on Tumblr itself and got a bunch of butthurt comments from gender unicorn sparkle snowflake warriors in the 13-15 age range... so yeah.)

People flipped their shit about how racist the movie was in early production. They bitched that the main character had a racist name, a racist job, a racist appearance, a racist villain, and racist love interest, in addition to an inappropriate setting. People still do have those actual problems. Like disability, and society's reaction to the disabled. You need look no further than Chris himself to see ableism at its finest, and most screamingly hypocritical, when he describes other autistic people as "windows to hell," or sneers at people with retardation or anyone who uses wheelchairs or crutches, or doesn't have enough muscle control to be verbal. The sheer, unnecessary meanness toward disabled people, coming from an autistic guy, is a pretty clear example of the kind of "real problems" that people with disabilities have every day, on top of the effects of the actual disability. Like my friend who has dwarfism -- he's about five feet tall but visibly has shorter arms and legs than "normal" people -- whose Catholic relative-by-marriage wanted to tell a child in the family that my friend was one of "Santa's elves." (Said friend is also Jewish, but I guess that's not real in this lady's world either...) That is not the same as "Fuck you, I'm a dragon," but because one chunk of bloggers and Tumblrinas are wrong doesn't mean they're all, universally wrong about everything.

Concerning some of the previous posts, I've seen Albiesm still strong in our society. Just today for example, I was talking to my friend who was going to tell off some teacher in gym class. This teacher was the special ed teacher who, instead of focusing on the special ed kids, bosses my friend's class around as if it's hers. She decided not to tell her off in the end, but she did tell me that the teacher was basically saying to her own students that she was glad she won't have to teach them again, basically acting like a spoiled babysitter.
