I always thought the Crazy People Glasses were the super cheap frames that you get on the real shit insurance. The kind that you have if you're working at like, Starbucks while you're waiting for the Revolution to come.

I've had that shit insurance, though, and I've never seen frames this shitty anywhere. The worst you get are those Army glasses, you know the kind. You never see the kind of frames that say "I'm utterly insane and I'm going to molest a child and then shoot the President!"

Where do these kinds of frames come from? They have to go find these things, because they aren't in stores.

There are a few inaccuracies with this video, I don't know how old Emma is now (I'm guessing early or mid-20s) but gay marriage wasn't legal until 2008, and adoption for gay couples wasn't allowed until 2003 in California, the first state to legalize gay marriage was Massachusetts in 2004 and the first state to allow gay couples to adopt was New Jersey in 1997. Group 1: The cosplayers
Many of these retards don't actually need glasses, but they wear them for the aesthetics. In these cases, they're usually wearing blue-blockers, which you can get in places like Target and Amazon just as easily as you can buy off the shelf reading glasses. They're especially common among gamer-types because they're supposed to help prevent headaches from staring at a screen all day.

Group 2: The people who actually need glasses
It used to be back in the day that you could really only afford one pair of glasses since you had to get them through insurance. Now, if you can wrestle your prescription away from the optometrist you can order your own online for a fraction of the price; which is pretty cool, honestly. The problem is that now, instead of thinking "Ok, I only get one pair so I need to choose something that's tasteful and can go with as many outfits as possible". these people see glasses as accessories first, and prosthetics second.
In these cases, they're ordering from places like Goggles4u, EyeBuyDirect, and Zenni Optical.
