Oh it's always fun when they feel the need to address things like female circumcision, sati, or racial hatred between non-white groups (when they can't be ignored or lied about, which is the preferred method of dealing with such things- EX: "Islam is feminist!"). It always comes back to one of three excuses.

That's true. I've heard these excuses before too. The lengths they'll go to throw other white people under the bus is disgusting. It convinces me that they're nihilists on some level. I remember confronting a former liberal friend once with the comment, "It's okay when they do it." He paused, then angrily conceded that, "No. No it's not. Anyone can be bad." We were discussing the Mexican cartels, who he was seriously trying to defend up until I brought up some of their more heinous atrocities. He was genuinely pissed off that he had to admit that anyone can be bad, not just white people. Of course, that didn't cure him of his white guilt.
It's not nihilism. A nihilist would be eager to admit that everyone sucks. As I said before, it's a racialized form of the concept of original sin, applied only to white people. It's a racist ideology.
Very good point! They do treat it like it's original sin. Unlike original sin though, there's no way to absolve yourself of white guilt.
