I did a trends search for "cultural appropriation" back in April - apparently online interest in the term didn't really start until 2007, and only really took off around late 2012 to early 2013. Also, Canada was where the term had the most interest according to the results (at 100), but the USA (at 79) wasn't far behind. The UK trailed at 31, and the rest of the Anglosphere and the world didn't really seem to care.

In all seriousness, asexuality shouldn't be treated as a sexuality in the first place because by definition it's the lack of sex drive, plain and simple. Tumblrfags gonna tumblrfag though.

It's because Social Justice is a college degree out here. There are whole course loads dedicated to the subject of white/male guilt. These degrees have no use in our society but thousands of trust fund kids are getting them under the guise of enlightenment (Read: Shouting out in public "Look, I'm not racist" or "I AM better than you") and then going out and spreading this shit.

Considering how SJW's came in, I wonder if they might ever come to this forum and call us all racist, sexist, homophobic scum. As for what Jon said, I'm sure there can be a better way to call a guy out without being obnoxious.

I mean really, someone needs to change or retract a statement because you decided your feelings were hurt on behalf of people whom you perceive to be some sort of "oppressed minority"? And if the person fails to comply with such a, you know, retarded request, they become "problematic"? The fuck does that even mean? Problematic to whom?
I'm also really, really sick of tumblr kids who don't bother to add punctuation or, often, capitalization to their sentences. They obviously think it's cool or something, but they're actually just raping the English language. BUT I THOUGHT RAPE WAS BAD. What gives?

Regarding Tenaflyviper, she leaves some comments regarding SJW's, whether it's about the rape culture the SJW's complain about (Such as SJW's saying all men are rapist) or SJW's thinking some fandom or group is evil (such as one group known for lolcow's that like to sperg over a kid's show), the latter of which got her under the radar of a few SJW's simply because she called one of their own out for being nothing more an annoying fool who tries to use her age as an excuse (not to mention, she showed hypocrisy regarding some drawings she had of a kids show that were risque. She basically drew what she claimed to be against.)

I'd be interested in hearing just what is the difference between "appreciation" and "appropriation" as far as SJWs are concerned. If they really believed in equality, they wouldn't just ass-kiss other cultures, worship them, and tub a blind eye towards any atrocities that they have/are commuting because God forbid they be criticized. All cultures are equal, but all are more equal than Americans.

Can't believe she's (TW: Misgendering) actually supporting self-diagnosis, then again I kind of do, since it kind of validates her calling herserlf a "xe". This is supposed to be some kind of sarcastic comment about self-diagnosis , but... goddamn, I thought she was fairly intelligent and just taken by Tumblr's "hurr hurr counter-culture" thing, but for fuck's sake, how stupid (TW: Ableism) can you be? How deluded do you have to be to the point of supporting diagnosing yourself with things like autism, depression, dysphoria? What madness turns a girl into a Social Justice Warrior?

Some do, some say it's not because it's just a cartoon. It depends on the SJW. The ones with the kawaii redux edits that are obsessed with Pokemon/animal crossing and cosplay sure let it slip a lot.

I was going to quote that Jontron post but I might as well just add this in here: Tumblr jumps on hate bandwagons blindly and quickly, and once there is a tumblr hate campaign against someone, they will never shut up about it. Ever. They will tear them to pieces, run them off the internet, and attack anyone who disagrees with the harsh treatment (whether deserved or not) of said individual or continues to enjoy the content they produce. Same thing happened with Renard, once a girl stepped forward and said that he had (TW: fondling) touched her in her sleep while they were in a relationship, he was thus considered a (TW: rape mention) rapist, and if you still listened to his music you were (TW: hate speech) "literal garbage that should be eradicated from the earth."

This just happened overnight. I woke up one morning to see my dash flooded with "Jontron is LITERAL GARBAGE and if you like his videos YOU ARE GARBAGE."
