While looking for new games, I discovered a particularly horrible case of Smart Guy thesaurus abuse in the form of one of the staffers for Pokemon Revolution Online (an attempt at a Pokemon MMO), who goes by Naero. His writing philosophy seems to be "replace every possible word in a sentence with a really big synonym from the thesaurus, even if it's not the correct usage." Behold:

The entire wiki is like this, as well as several in-game NPC's. As far as I can tell, this is his default method of talking, at least on the internet. If he's a troll, he's really dedicated; I couldn't find any evidence of breaking character.

I fail to see how "clean your room, wash your penis, dress nice" feeds into incel mindsets, seeing as incels think the opposite of these things.

With Peterson, like with Trump, there's what Peterson actually says and what everyone else thinks he says.

Disclaimer: not a Peterson fan, but I've watched a few of his videos to see what all the hubbub was about. It's really amazing the disconnect between, say, a guy making observations about IQ stats and the people in the comments bleating about how everyone below a certain IQ threshold should just be offed wholesale.

Dude, incels hate Jordan Peterson. Like, vehemently despise Jordan Peterson.
They see Jordan Peterson's dogma as a huge, violative microaggression towards them. It's like how depressed people piss their pants over someone telling them "Hey, it's okay! Just be happy!!" What Peterson says might not actually be a microagression, but it doesn't matter. Incels have built their ideological machine on disregarding any and all advice. Incels don't feed into Peterson, they'd chew Peterson and throw him right out.

While I disagree with JP for the most part, his basic message is "you are responsible for your own life, stop blaming other people." Since inceldom holds that everyone else is to blame for the fact you can't get laid, such advice goes over like a pot roast at a vegan convention.

Yeah I read that, and he's basically putting the responsibility for male violence on women. So I take back what I said earlier, he's not advocating taking responsibility for one's self, he's blaming someone else (women) for men's behavior. He dresses it up with academic language, but he's basically saying that if women weren't sluts, guys wouldn't get violent. It's insulting to women, and in a way, it's insulting to men, because it implies men are slaves to their biological urges. Many men go without sex for long periods when they desire it, and they don't get violent. They either accept it, or make changes in their life that make them attractive to sex partners. Incels won't look inside themselves, because if they did, they might figure out that they're the problem, not women, and their fragile egos couldn't take that. There would be a rash of basement dwellers doing flips.

You may want to read the article at the link. I think it makes a point that is importantly different from that summary.

Also, Peterson has written at least one book telling young men to get their shit together if they want to have decent lives. I don't think he shies away from telling men to take responsibility.

Yeah, some things should change. The dating scene was ruined by Tinder and it's face-focused formatting. It is broken, and there should be an attempt to fix it. The flaws with how to get a girl in 2018, however, does not justify becoming an incel. This is an attempt by Peterson to suck as many incel micropenises as humanly posssibly.

Are incels even really a new thing? Seems we've always had guys who were really unlikeable and got bitter over it. All that's changed is that we gave them a name and let them talk to each other.
 
The whole cult ideology of it, with the Chads and the Betas and the Canthal Tilts and the Blackpills, is pretty new imo. There have always been awkward virgin basement losers, but now they have an ideology and are carrying out suicide attacks.

I ran this through a neckbeard translator and here's the TL;DR:

Neckbeard wants to know if women are sentient, because according to him only men are capable of forming a coherent sense of self. He also does the super arrogant thing that incel types do, which is to assume that no man in a relationship with a woman is happy. He talks about how men want to bond with women but there's "no one there" and they're unable to form such a bond. Because apparently he's never talked to the countless men who share a close and significant bond with their girlfriends/wives.
