I've been seeing some misinformation being spread around about the situation (including in this thread), which is understandable given how a lot of the information was shrouded by mystery for a long time. Given that Mister Metokur is likely doing a video on this drama (and we all know he pulls heavily from here), I want to make a post summarising all of what we know for definite from videos, tweets, etc. I will not be providing many links as most of them have already been posted in this thread (which is not long by any means), and I don't want to bloat an already long post. Any new info that I have will be substantiated. This post will contain a summary and clarification of Nick's video (by far the best video done on this topic). I also won't be touching the first part of the drama between Chey and Slazo as most of the information during that part of the situation is 100% concrete and well-documented in this thread. It's after Michael's response that everything gets confusing. This post is mainly for noobs and those concerned about Pyro's involvement, the timeline of when they knew of the accusations, etc. Feel free to ignore or add on anything I missed.
Basically, this drama truly began to ramp up after Michael (Slazo) responded in his "my side" video where he debunked the lion's share of Chey's claims of sexual assault and emotional abuse (though he did admit to being controlling, unsupportive and emotionally unavailable). Turkey Tom's video provides a good recap of this part of the drama. Michael's response was received very positively by most of the community, which led to an eagle eye being placed on many of Michael's former friends who came out and supported Chey. These YouTubers include BluesDank, KingAni, Weesterner, Dolan Dark, Kwite and the most prominent, ImAllex. All of these YouTubers (except Kwite really) continued to double down on their stance that Michael is a sexual predator, which drew even more suspicion on them.
Nicholas DeOrio, a co-host on Tommy C's SFTP, jumped into a call with Alex and BowBlax for two and a half hours (which he did not record for obvious legal reasons). Alex knew Nick planned to make a video on him and was apparently fine with it, but later worriedly spammed Nick's discord and insinuated that he would involve lawyers. In this call Alex complained about the high number of sexual predation cases in the commentary community, with Michael's case apparently being the 25th of such. Alex told Nick a story of contacting an accused rapist concerning allegations against him and letting him walk away (a privilege he did not afford to Michael). Nick has only heard of 3 of these 25 allegations; Zaptie (former commentator), James Charles and now Michael. Nick believes that Alex only seems to come forward with these issues when it affects him personally and is not the principled anti-rape crusader he makes himself out to be. Alex also told small lies to Nick e.g Michael only lived with him for three days, when in actual fact he lived with him for a week. Alex also allegedly told Nick that he was against the two year age gap between Chey and Michael, despite telling Tommy C in Twitter DMs that he didn't mean to bring their respective ages into the conversation (when discussing a Tweet Alex made about Michael "controlling a fourteen year old girl").
Alex also revealed that a group chat between nearly a dozen commentators existed for several months. According to Alex, the chat consisted of Chey, himself, Dolan Dark, Hyojin (Pyro's ex), Unicorn Powers, Pyrocynical, Blues Dank, King Ani, Kwite and Weesterner. However, suspicions have arisen about the names Alex told Nick. Unicorn Powers claimed she had nothing to do with the chat and that Alex threw her under the bus to take the heat off himself (it's very possible he included Pyro for this very reason, as Pyro did not involve himself in this drama whatsoever). The chat was involved in writing Chey's Twitlonger. Alex himself wrote a draft that was rejected, and he allegedly left the chat for two weeks. The final draft was written by Hyojin, which he was critical of as the screenshots attached included rape jokes between Chey and Michael. Despite his gripes with Hyojin's draft Alex supported Chey's Twitlonger publicly. Alex described Hyojin as "malicious" and was more invested in seeing Michael's channel destroyed than Chey was. This is substantiated by tweets a girl posted (which I linked a few pages back) about an individual taking pleasure in seeing Michael's pain. Alex also told both Nick and Tom that Hyojin cheated on Pyro with Dolan Dark, which appears to be a lie as Pyro is still on good terms with Dolan. Several people spoke to Turkey Tom about Hyojin; three people called her a "psycho" and one girl whom allegedly lived with her for a few months claimed Hyojin abused her dog (Hyojin denied this on Twitter). Alex also leaked this Discord message to someone, who then leaked it to Turkey Tom;
https://web.archive.org/save/https://twitter.com/TurkeyTom/status/1150979365427187712. When asked why this group went so hard after Michael (as Alex claimed that they look past rape accusations), Alex mentioned that Michael's reddit channel (Emkay) was pulling in 34k dollars monthly. When Nick said that this detail seemed to be a red flag, Alex reiterated his belief in Chey's accusations. Nick says in his video that Alex wants people to trust his word; the group chat conspirators are unreliable narrators as they have questionable motives, but that Michael is actually a rapist (yet, he couldn't say that he was 100% sure that Michael actually was one).
According to Dolan Dark, members of this chat knew about the allegations for a year but ignored them (substantiated by ColossalisCrazy on the Baited Podcast episode). Nick questions the group's genuine belief in Chey's claims; if they believed them, why would they allow Michael to mingle among fans clearly when he may be a sexual predator? Apparently a group of people (not specified who) went up to Michael at Pax 2018 and told him "stop raping people", which they thought would put the issue to bed. Alex claimed that he wrote a very long Twitlonger which would clear up the situation but decided not to post it, which confused Nick as most people in the community want a response from him. Alex claimed that a second round of sexual assault allegations was ready to come out about Michael, but that Hyojin and Chey were saving them for Michael's response. The group chat also chose to go on holiday around the time of Michael's response, which means that their planned rebuttal to Michael's video would come out about a week from now.
Nick brought these new round of allegations to Michael in a 10-15 minute interview included in his video. They are as follows;
1: According to Dolan Dark, several girls approached Chey concerning their interactions with Michael. Apparently nudes were exchanged between him and these girls, despite Slazo claiming that he would never abuse his power over his fans (this is substantiated by a stream made by Tommy C weeks prior. According to a source of his, Chey's response would include claims of Michael receiving nudes from fans). Michael denied sending nudes but admitted to receiving them. Michael claimed that he never had these interactions with stan accounts due to the obvious power dynamic between them; instead he only had these conversations with girls after speaking with them for "a long time" and developing a relationship. This occurred about 2-3 times. In some cases he requested nudes and in others they volunteered to send them. So far none of these girls whom sent nudes to Michael have come forward.
2: According to Alex, Michael became sexually rough with a drunk female friend of his at a club while he was completely sober. Alex removed her from the situation and sent her home in an Uber. Michael was then bullied for this for the next three days. Michael denied this. He claimed that he was also drunk and that the interaction between him and this girl was completely consensual, and that she gave him hickies, of which the others in the group took pics of (proof here:
https://twitter.com/sarah_anne____/status/1151002794586976256). People in the group with him at the club posed for pictures with them while they were making out (see Bowblax and Nick's video for the pics). Michael alleges that the group made fun of him for drunkenly making out with this girl and the hickies she gave him, not for assualting her. Alex's claims were pointed out as nonsensical by Tommy C (who was interviewing Slazo along with Nick and Colossal). It's commonplace for people to playfully bully their friends for hooking up with someone while drunk, not sexually assaulting them.
3: A second allegation also comes from Alex. A former girlfriend of Michael's approached Alex about her relationship with him. According to her, she relapsed into self-harm and requested comfort from Michael. Michael agreed to come over and keep her company while he finished editing a video. During the time he took to arrive at her place she consumed 3/4ths of a bottle of vodka. When she requested the final quarter of the vodka Michael chugged it himself and the two of them, now drunk, had sex at some point during the night. Michael claimed that they had a friends with benefits relationship from mid to late 2018 to early 2019. Michael claimed that she was drinking heavily and reached for a bottle of soju (strong Korean vodka). Michael drank it so she couldn't. Michael denied having sex with her that night and claimed that they had sex in the morning. Michael admitted that, while he was drinking, he had in his words the "gross" (I agree) thought that his drunkenness could turn into sex, but denied that sex was his main intention for going to her place. He confessed this thought to her and acknowledged that it probably made her feel uneasy. He didn't follow through with this thought.
4: A third claim from Alex. He alleged that he had seen evidence that Michael attempted to pay Chey to keep silent. They withheld this evidence in preparation for Michael's response. Michael denied this but admitted to offering her money in the past to assuage his guilt over being a terrible boyfriend. Here he addressed some of Chey's accusations that he didn't touch on in his original response. He denied yelling at her constantly as he physically couldn't do so without their secret relationship being discovered by his parents, who wouldn't have approved of their relationship for religious reasons. I also know that Michael comes from a large family (probably 3-4 siblings at least) from a QnA video he did and that he shared a room up until he moved out of his parent's house. This would have made it impossible for him to yell at Chey. He admitted to being a terrible boyfriend to Chey; he would not visit her while she was on her period and asked her to switch to a different anti-depressant medication to amplify her sex drive (can be seen in the screenshots in the OP). He also insinuated at times that it was a bad thing for her to be on anti-depressants because it decreased her libido. Michael claimed that he and Chey only had sex approximately three times over the course of their relationship. Michael also addressed messages between him and Chey where Michael engaged in a sex act that Chey didn't want to do. Michael said that he and Chey were already engaging in "stuff", but that she didn't want to do a particular act with him. Michael encouraged her to perform this act which she agreed to (though probably reluctantly).
Nick pointed out that, even if these accusations are true, they are nowhere near sexual assault/rape and are light years away from what Chey accused him of. Nick also highlighted how immaturely those running the gay op on Michael treated Chey's Twitlonger; if he did try to bribe Chey, why did they choose to omit that information and replace it with Slazo's rape jokes? Nick said in his video that they treated these allegations like petty YT drama. Nick also pointed out how, even if Michael completely vindicates himself, there will still be people both online and in his real life that will believes that he is a sexual predator.
Nick also released DMs from Dolan Dark. Dolan wrote that he believed Chey as he knew her personally. He admitted that Chey didn't contact the police as similar cases with a lack of evidence got thrown out. He also wrote that revenge was likely an aspect of Chey's motivations to write the Twitlonger. Finally, he said that Chey was not the most "mentally stable" person. It seems that this group acted as Internet gay op vigilantes. It also appears that Alex tried to play both sides by leaking info to Nick, Tom and others, lying about the involvement of Unicorn Powers (and possibly Pyro), etc. It's very important to note that a lot of the above information comes from Alex, who is not the most honest person. Several of his statements have been disputed by the people whom he claimed were involved. For example, Hyojin said on Twitter that she was only "moral support" for Chey and had nothing to do with writing her Twitlonger.
I hope this post clears up the controversy surrounding Pyro's involvement in this drama, timeline of events, the true nature of the accusations, etc. Yes, I have too much time on my hands.
