For me, the biggest offense with this bullshit is the inherent hubris - that insistence that
every part of a character change specifically to please them alone, that they know better than the actual creators of a given work and that anyone who disagrees with them is automatically wrong. If these assholes existed earlier in our nation's history, think how many works of fiction, historical fiction, sci-fi and fantasy works would have been put through the shredder for the sake of their feels?
To Kill A Mockingbird? I'm afraid that a book covering a climate of racial prejudice is problematic. Fucking
Harrison Bergeron never would have stood a
chance.
But the most annoying one, the one that just makes them out to be the worst sacks of shit out there is the double-standard. Any work
they, personally like will be held as fucking paragons of virtue and perfection, even as they relentlessly attack other works for the same exact flaws. They'll throw giant hate-fests over Queen's Blade for being essentially softcore porn (when
that's the fucking point; you have a woman wearing A LIVE SNAKE for panties for fuck's sake) whilst ignoring that the outfits in their own favorite works are just as fucking riddled with issues. It all boils down to one simple, unimpeachable fact: They want to hate characters for being attractive and this lets them justify their prejudices.
This is why, for example, BikiniArmorBattleDamage, easily the most
fucking obnoxious of these blogs, essentially is all about justifying their own hatred of designs they find objectionable. They will dismiss every argument of cultural significance, personal character choice, personality, tactical significance, and, in essence, all logical reasons, all so they can have fun bitching about works that they genuinely don't care about and would never support anyway, because they live on being offended.
This is so they can feel big and important by applying pressure towards content creators to get shit changed and ergo, make shit worse. This is how they feel important.
Deny them.
Content creators, do yourself a service: Ignore these fuckers.
I will spread this message as far as I can, from people like Brianna Wu for
Revolution 60 to the crew behind
Odin Sphere. Nothing these people have to say is remotely useful or relevant. Anything they may have to offer will be veiled in their own rationalizing their dislike of something. Disregard all of them. They will not support your works and will demand more concessions if you make any towards them. They will ignore everything for the sake of scoring brownie points and SJW cred and pretend that none of the dozens of reasons your character looks and dresses a certain way are valid. It is all about their ego, and everyone outside their bubble knows it.

slayboybunny, who do these little bits and pieces of self introspection through shitty little comics in their , and all they do is reblog their own mug and amazon wishlists in hopes of someone paying attention to them. It's pathetic, really.
