The near omnipresence of the Steven Universe (overly curvy, edgeless) art style has so saturated LGBTQ+ art that the original show no longer looks like it has it's own style, and just looks like some twitter artist's sketchbook.

Alright, if you say so... I just caught these from their Twitter and apparently they'd apologized for people who they had beef before.

First one's about LOIRL, a Japanese object show fan who draws fanart with quite a certain style in mind. They twisted the situation from bad to worse by framing her as a disgusting person, when in reality they probably don't know better that this community extremely doesn't value the phrase "fiction != reality" that much.

The drama exploded on Twitter around January, and a bunch of people around her circle of influence (mostly other Asian BFDI fans), came to defend. The drama is so much, she pretty much deleted all of her tweets prior to around late January. Here's how Ang had addressed the situation.

Not exactly sure if the BFB team really hates her considering how much people on Tumblr tend to overexaggerate, but I wouldn't doubt it since she was kicked from the server. It's a bit funny too that Yoyle seems to be on fine terms with Art-Tart-Taffyness despite her GF going out off the way to say that people couldn't follow her on her BFB sideblog if they even liked her. Why did she get kicked though?

Isn't that kinda racist to think a character is black because she has box braids? Yes I know technically white girls don't do it often because of hair texture or whatever, but it's pretty fucking hypocritical of them. Artists like this 9 times outta 10 are the same people who complain about racial stereotypes. Hell they'd probably draw her with watermelons and call it progressive.

Glad to see I'm not crazy and the only person who sees this shit too.
Troons really have a knack for repeating shit over and over again to make themselves feel better. For some reason, fictional characters are the only things that make these people feel secure in life, so keep on shitting out art like this where [x] fictional character is gay and has the same body deformities they do.
I am 100% certain none of these people could name any vocaloid songs without googling them. They only like Miku because they can self-insert as her.

Same thing for the ships we see in this thread. The only pre-requisite for a ship is having two characters of the same sex on the screen at the same time. Like, in FF7r, Tifa and Aerith actually talk to each other and don't hate each other, that means they're gay. (Additionally, make Tifa brown as fuck, extend her nose, and make her bulky as hell)

Yes. The term is "Homestuck nose," and it's been around since at least 2011 (or whenever the trolls were introduced). It came from how people would color troll noses flushed with their blood color. It's hard to find posts talking about Homestuck noses, since it happened so long ago, but I pulled an old Reddit post that talks about how popular it was in the fandom at the time. This is a Tumblr thread taking the piss out of the flushed nose trend, with Homestuck directly mentioned.

Any sort of "SJW" art trend can likely be traced back to the Homestuck fandom circa 2011. In 2010 everyone was drawing the beta kids as skinny white nerds, but sometime in 2011 something snapped and suddenly Rose and Dave are trans and black. The obvious leg stubble and stretch marks came shortly after.

I feel so old from people thinking colored noses came from the new Animal Crossing.

Ah yes, Space Channel 5... this has an interesting tumblr fanbase. Mainly because they blackwash most of the main characters and headcannon them as something LGBT+. However the fanbase also tends to get upset of you don't draw the chacter Jaguar as tan as possible. I can understand that but shit hit the fan when the VR game got announced this side of the fanbase had a meltdown because he was "whitewashed" when the he was slightly paler than normal.

Why do they draw the 'fictional character says trans right/waves a LGBTwhatever flag/becomes trans/is gay/is nonbinary/whatever' so much? If they want the rights so much, why are they not doing anything for it, like sending a letter to some people of power or whatever? The fictional character is fictional, so what can said character do for it anyway? I'm just getting tired of it all.
