Found an artist on Tumblr that redesigns a lot of Vivziepop's characters but the artist absolutely failed cause they designed entirely new characters.
Also most of the artworks are really lazy looking, like they spent 10 minutes on one piece.

Ah, the good ol' double whammy of "not only does it look nothing like the original character ergo leaving the viewer wondering why they're called "character redesigns"" and "might as well make 'em really ugly while I'm bastardizing these objectively more appealing-by-comparison designs"
Like, c'mon. I'm not the biggest fan of Vivzie but these are zero percent better.

Some of these are of course vivzie‘s, but I think some of these are actually by another artist that goes by phobia circus, her style is heavily influenced by vivzies.
Nonetheless, all the redesigns are awful.

Hasbin Hotel is really not my cup of tea but the original characters, despite being quite flawed, are much better than the redesigns because the other artist's style lacks distinction and flare.
When I first saw an image of the Hasbin characters, I knew it was by Vivvie because I saw her animations and her style sticks out in the crowd. The characters look like they have energy and pep with the skinny bodies and shaped limbs. The other artist looks lumpy, slow and stiff, very uninteresting and unengaging to look at as well as being the 1000th artist to have that gross style.

Vivziepop and Tim Burton both do this sort of "make the characters stick-thin" thing, and what Tumblr fails to get is they do it for a stylistic reason. Vivzie uses it to make her characters dynamic and expressive, and Tim Burton uses it to make his characters creepy/elegant. They both affect the storytelling. Then SJW types see it and get triggered thinking "OH YOU DON'T LIKE FAT PEOPLE" like fuck off it's about storytelling not "muh representashun."
That being said, I don't really like Vivziepop's work, but I can respect that she tries and has a unique artistic voice that isn't just every other calarts thing mashed together like 90% of these redesigners.

Why are people obsessed with making the character in a swim suit cover up? Even with past leaders in swim suits, I haven't seen this sort of content for them, but it's everywhere for Nessa.

People on twitter (and I assume tumblr too, because it's the same kinds of people) had issues with Nessa's design because to them, dark skinned people are oversexualized compared to light skinned people and therefore her design is some form of racism. Even though her outfit isn't intended to be sexualized, it might be a two piece bathing suit but it's not even a bikini and clearly fits with the athletic theme of the Gym Leaders' outfits.

They always think bikinis and swimsuits are "sexualized." I think maybe it just turns them on and they're scared to admit it. Like Frollo/Esmeralda.
