Maybe my standards have just gotten lower, but I don’t think this one looks too bad compared to the other ones. And while the freckles aren’t the best I’ve ever seen, they don’t make me want to claw my eyes out. The characters also look like how they’re supposed to, which is a pretty big plus.

What I found myself to work well (because I used to draw similar to this, more expressive though) is to study anatomy. You will be surprised by how far that gets you. First, start with the proportions of the human body. Learn how far away the ribcage is from the pelvis. Learn that the joint of our arms roughly starts where the ribcage ends. Stuff like that. Using a skeleton as a reference is of great help for this. If you have a general idea of how muscles work, you can attach them to the bones almost effortlessly.

One way to draw a character would be to sketch a simplistic version of the skeleton and then attaching the muscles (and fat) to it.
Clean up the sketch if you have to and there you have it. A character that doesn't look odd. And the good thing is, you can still change the proportions and level of detail to your needs for (sub)conscious stylistic choices (Cartoons, Chibi, etc).

It's surprisingly easy to draw if you're willing to learn is what I'm trying to say. I hope I'm making sense.

@Anima - you're making perfect sense! Glad to hear you're trying to improve your art rather than just screech "it's my style!" when critiqued. I think it just takes some artists awhile to realize what you were saying.

These look like literal children's drawings.

Like I would not be surprised if the artist was actually 12, in which case you can't really hold it against them.

There's still come attempt at looking appealing and not completely balls-ugly.

How can Connor, an android (the one on the left), be trans? Technically androids don't really have a "gender", but their bodies and voices resemble male or female traits in order to humanize them. Besides, since android parts can be removed, wouldn't it make more sense for him to exchange his upper body for a more masculine look instead of wearing a binder? It could potentionally be interesting to bring the idea of "what if androids were trans", but we all know this was for those tasty "representation" points and nothing more. Hank can't be gay because he had a wife and a kid. At most he could be bi, but there's nothing in the actual game that shows that. The artist didn't stray too far from the original designs, minus the slight tan.
