A thing i've seen for a long time is the fact that most porn artists don't know how clothes work. Most of the time everything they do is extremely skin tight with no mass or detail, always making sure of revealing every single detail of their body. I get that they want to do sexy clothing but there is a way to do it properly.

This is like asking a porn artist to draw a mug of beer and they will make it look like semen.

To be fair, that's also a hallmark of beginner artists, too. One of the fundamentals most artists learn very on is the human form- how the joints fit together, where everything is, what the proportions are, and stuff like that. And when drawing people (even clothed,) the construction lines and early sketches very often will be of just the body, since that informs how the clothing will be drawn (as opposed to the other way around.) Especially with dresses- you need to at least have an idea of what that body is doing underneath so you can properly represent that motion through the dress. All this to say that there's a huge emphasis on the body itself when first starting with art, and comparatively less on clothing, folds, how fabric sits on the body, etc, so a lot of beginner artists default to clothing being basically an outer layer of skin.

That being said, if a loose-fitting article like a sweater, dress, shirt, or something is getting sucked underneath some fat chick's stomach, I am always going to assume fetish art first.

Speaking of which, I was just perusing Google and came across some Ridonculous Race screenshots, ones of that Stephanie character

And it's like... Shirts don't work like that, her boobs shouldn't be so visible, the shirt being pulled so taut makes no sense. I think Cartoon Network is in cahoots with Goonclown, it simply can't just be a cartoon. I've seen porn that draws shirts the same way so trust me. Don't ask me why I'm so acquainted with boob porn.

What most people do is draw the body first, then the clothes on top of it, and erase the necessary parts. Not everyone knows what to erase, let alone how to draw wrinkles. Shit I still don't know how to lol.

I will say it's true, but still a lot of these people really go for the "so tight you can see the bellybutton beneath" kind of clothes, be it with swimsuits or other kind of tight fitting clothes. The same would apply to the chest in many cases.

And while i'm also a retarded noobie in regards to art, i also understand that clothes have mass. That's why i always draw the body first and then the clothes on top.

It helps, I'm AWFUL at wrinkles and how clothes hang, I never understood them, despite wearing them everyday. I personally don't bother with it since I'm a mere hobbyist, and if someone thinks I'm a gooner for that then fuck it, catch me in the flicker goon circle with Pyro.

Not to go all "it's they culcha" but that literally is just that studio's style. Go rewatch the first season of TDI, they've been drawing like that for over a decade now. I think what it is, is echoes of the 90s/Y2K revival of the old UPA style, where everything was geometric and flat with lines and color blocking over forms rather than curving with the 3D figure.

I've found that if you do a bare minimum one wrinkle/fold in the elbow/knee, or one line across the torso under the breast/highest point of the pectorals, that satisfies the clothing fold need for most viewers. It depends on how stylized you're going, obviously, but in most cartoons you can get away with a fair deal of simplification as long as you have an idea of what you're trying to convey with it. Thinner fabrics fold a million times before thick ones creases even once.
As far as gooner art goes, I think it's more of a spectrum than a hard line. Of course you can have highly simplified gooner art and highly detailed gooner art, but my general rule is "how comfortable/uncomfortable would this be to maintain irl all day long"? If it's comfortable/practical, it's probably not gooner. Fat roll causing a crease in a T-shirt? Dress clinging to hips/bunching up? That's normal, that's natural, and people adjust their clothes 500 times a day because of that. Gunt highlighted or exposed? Less common, but it happens on fat people sometimes, so it's in the middle there. Belly button highlighted through clothing?? Unless you're vacuum sealed into your clothes that just isn't happening, and if you ARE vacuum sealed into your clothes then it's absolutely a fetish anyway.

Not to burst your bubble, but the joke is that I'm making fun of Spider Bitch's argument that cartoon physics = fetish art (And of the fact that as she calls fat fetishists gooner weirdos, she weirdly has a lot of experience with fat art and knows where to get it at a moment's notice). I was being sarcastic.

This is about how I judge it too, yes :)

Twitter user is complaining because Tomodachi Life game still refers to her as a woman despite picking "non binary".
View attachment 8987834
She is complaining because her pronouns are she/her but doesn't want to be called a woman because it makes her uncomfortable.
View attachment 8987838

Some comments are calling her out on this but despite not wanting to be called a woman, she calls herself a magical girl on her Twitter bio. 20 years old btw.
View attachment 8987866

Other users are confused as to why she doesn't want to be called a woman but is ok with she/her pronouns. Replies are of course shit like "Hermaphrodite people exist"! and one user stats "Pronouns =/= gender. No such thing as "female pronouns". These people are the most insufferable people on the planet.

View attachment 8987871
Lol I don’t understand this retardation, if pronouns don’t indicate gender then what exactly do they indicate? Why are they so obsessed with labels while also believing that none of them actually mean anything?

Literally just what feels good. And this isn't me being sarcastic or sassy, this is the actual unironic explination I have heard from multiple genderspecials.

Like cmon. What single other reason would there be to make a sexless ragdoll from a show for 12 yos, not even transformed into a human, not just chubby but extremely curvy with her whole cleavage out if not for sexual reasons?
Why do we do anything? What reason is there to make any art? People do just enjoy redesigning characters and making them more human. Yea they left the identifying things but they left the hair the same too, that's just because they want it to be recognisable as that character. You know people have fetishes for plushes too right? That sort of seam and squishy hands is also someone's fetish. Same for being blinded with the eyepatch. Just because something is lewd it doesn't mean it's porn. Women have boobs, you can't draw a woman and not include the boobs. This image just reads as something the artist finds attractive not as porn. It's like someone drawing blondes, it's not a fetish and it's not porn, that's just their tastes in women.

I went and found the tumblr account of the artist. This isn't a fat fetishist. If you scroll down enough the artist has posted images of herself and she's obviously obese. Scroll down further and she draws herself as an anime character and it's the same type of image with the same sort of fat style. That's not a fetish that's just how she sees herself. She doesn't focus on the fat. She doesn't talk about the fat. She doesn't add any tags to the posts that are related to fetishism. It's just every once in a while she posts a fat bitch. A fetish is an abnormal focus on something nonsexual that brings sexual gratification, this user does not even focus on fat people, the vast majority of their art is not of fat people, that is not how people with a fetish act. Yet again. This user is just spiritually black. Just because someone finds a specific thing attractive it doesn't mean it's a fetish unless there is significant attention put on it. From looking at the account and the rest of the art I think the main reason why the gunt is underscored is to show the character is fat. Not to fetishise the fatness of the character. Just to make it obvious that yes this is a fat bitch. You can draw something that is common in fetish art by coincidence. Not everything strange is a fetish, sometimes it's just strange. If you want to argue this is fat fetish porn then every single image of vitiligo in this thread is also fetish porn by the same logic.

Here are the reddit posts. 1. 2. 3. Can't find the exact post for the third one but there's several of that comic without the +reunion after story parts.

Honestly I went and found them and in that time I forgot where I was going with it but I'll leave the links there for posterity's sake. I think I was going to say something along the lines of the reason why those sorts of things have obvious gunts through clothing is to emphasise the weight gain whereas a lot of non weight gain fat fetish art tends to simply just have the gunt out. One group wants to see the clothes get tighter. The other group wants to just see the fat. Look at the recent posts on a fat fetish subreddit and there's hardly any clothes. Go on a weight gain fetish subreddit and they are almost all clothed to begin with.

Why do we do anything?
THE KING HAS ARRIVED 👑
Pretty much all of what you said, yes. It's this weird idea that anything that flies with skinny girls = fetish with fat girls, again, it always felt very porn-brained to me. Also this weird idea that drawing fat girls being attractive means you have a fat girl fetish. And when someone draws a blonde girl being attractive, that MUST be a blonde hair fetish! Fuckin hell, it just tells me you have to cut down on the porn.

Most of the time tho I think it comes from the "spiritually black" thing you said, someone "spiritually white" CANNOT fathom someone wanting to make a character fat, so it must be a fetish. Whilst to someone "spiritually black", making a skinny character fat is like making a brunette character a ginger. It's just "Cause it looks better".

Except as far as ive seen there was no real change because her fat form was her in flashbacks. And shes also an extremely minor character anyways. Jumping the gun like that is in fact a very sjw thing to do.

And cmon, going 'wah wah id stop reading!!1!' is very clearly supposed to be critical of the work itself. If you stop reading something just because a fat character got skinny you never cared about the work/plot/characters in the first place and just the fact it has fatties in it. I didnt stop watching Bojack Horseman when the 1 human female character became a chubster. These are twitter users, stop giving them the benefit of the doubt.

Literal reply on the post btw

Sidenote, at least the earlier chapters actually have a sorta interesting if ugly artstyle compared to the usual manhwa slop.

If it wasn't because the name of that unholy abomination is Boris i would have a hard time guessing if it was a really ugly woman or a terribly fat guy. After all, what kind of fatass has tits like those?

I might have toxoplasmosis from Mewgenics, but any time the name Boris comes up I think of the bloated dead cat sewer boss and/or the most hairy bear of a Russian man. I also read those breasts as shoulders, what a fool I am.

Not the type of reclaiming they were going for. 🤡
