gotta admit, shes cute. but even the 'good' fat representation in anime isnt very good. most fat characters in anime love eating or are otaku.(for people too lazy to click on the link)

I remember this artist. She's an Egyptian who's mc is a feminist muslim super hero. The character isn't bitchy and was actually pretty cool. It's much better than the other comics listed in this thread. Unlike those, she talks about real issues happening in countries outside of the west, mostly muslim majority ones (at least it was the last time I read it). She got yelled at by tumblr for telling everyone that ancient Egyptians weren't black and using proof to back up her argument. Surprised she's still there...

I guess that's where the feminist part comes in. She'd get irritated about western feminist being angry about small things like manspreading while in Egypt minorities both racial and religious were being treated like dirt in the name of Allah and society's views. She's your average muslim, the kind that doesn't reee often. She's admitted Islam has it's flaws. But it's been years since I've been on her blog.

The 2015 pic looks like something a small child drew with a paint program. I've seen so many artists on tumblr who do commissions which are nothing more than half assed scribbles. They claim they're actually selling too. If that's the case than anybody can do commissions. You don't even need to have artistic talent. Just tumblrsque aesthetics. I can't believe all of the money I'm not making!
I think it's part lazy, part trying to fit in. When decent artists see that they can get by on very half assed work as long as they make sure to add in some POCs and fatties with hairy legs they lose the motivation to work hard. It's really unfortunate but the ugliest art seems to get tons of notes and likes. All it needs to do is fit the right criteria. So why work long hours for a beautiful piece of art wen you can just sit down and scribble like a child and have everyone gush over how talented you are? It's like getting to return to a time when mommy put your macaroni art up on the refrigerator and everyone who came over praised you for being such a great artist. Yeah. I think I get it now. Sadly. This depresses me a lot.
