Maybe I'm reading it wrong or giving the artist too much credit, but from what I understood the first thing the artist really said was "can we not talk about politics on my birthday." Then apparently a conversation later brought it up, and it doesn't say who brought the topic up first. I was assuming the mom, who for all we know could actually be abusive, managed to wheedle the OP's true feelings out as an excuse to further abuse her. That's something that a lot of abusers do, is make you act in a way that justifies them abusing you.

I know this is the SJW art thread and we're used to seeing whiny bitches become unreliable narrators, but idk, I think we're all ganging up on someone who might be telling the truth/didn't necessarily do anything worthy of being kicked out of the house.
