I'm kind of impressed how Tumblr has an "art-style."
One would think that people there want to be unique and different from the rest.

In fact, the exact opposite is true. Social justice is a philosophy based on rigid conformity. This is reflected in the art it produces, where only a very narrow set of styles and subjects is allowed, and artists are made to toe the line or face harassment.

I dunno, but it also seems they have a rather unhealthy obsession over Kyle, judging from these pictures.

Probably because of this

Undertale: the Steven Universe of Video Games. The fantards are practically no akin to that of an FNAF tard who said that it is the best game to ever exist.

And just what I thought it could get even more inferior and sub-par, I came across this. I already know that Undertale is populated with SJWs since they use a skeleton with no established gender to project their own fantasies. No matter how disgusting it is.

I should kill myself.

Because liking someone like cartman would lead to them having to accept they identify with the fat exceptional individual who doesn't contribute much in their friend group.
Yet, Cartman is what SJWs would hate and hold much venom towards him if he were to exist IRL.

I see the SJWs didn't get the joke that they made with "Tweek X Craig". There's a big surprise. Also, does anyone besides me think this obsession with the lovelies of characters who are supposed to be in grade school raise a few red flags?

The skeletons are actually both male, and brothers to boot. Unless you mean "skeleton" figuratively, as in the intentionally generic protagonist child. Either one is fucked up in it's own way.

If history has proven anything, it's that Pedophillia and Incest are viewed positively by a majority of these people.

This has shown up in this thread before, and yet it's still as soul-crushing as the last time I saw it.

I blame Modern art and teachers of such. Nowadays Renaissance Masters are called shit because they weren't diverse in their paintings, and a rotting cow in a glass box is meaningful art. How would you be able to recognize beauty when taught this way?

It isn't the medium they're being taught. When we were learning modern art it was trying to understand context and what the work was trying to say. Why is one work of surrealism good, and the other not? How do these pieces fit together? These are still done the same way in art classes, as is the general premise for all of them. So what's changed?

Nothing, really, except the internet making things easier to access.

Fact is, most of these Tumblrfags are self-taught. Nothing wrong with that, but a lot of them aren't very talented. They immediately adhere to what's popular and easy to do, so bam, you have all of them using the same styles. Hence tumblrnose, noodlearms, and so on. Look at Vade's art for instance, and you have a profusion of this. It's purely accessibility and groupthink, and nothing more.

If Tumblr had been around in the time of Picasso, imagine the mutilated faces we'd still be seeing popular to this day. Or Dali, where we'd be seeing melted stuff everywhere.

Yeah, the (underlying) problem here is how everyone adapts to a lot of the terrible habits that people seem to show in their art. That's why you'll rarely see me praise something that came from Tumblr. They look pretty same-y, ugly and indicative of today's culture. The fact that they're self taught, while it does play some part in it, is ultimately irrelevant in the long run. I'm certain that even if they went to art school, the result would ultimately be the same. Because most Tumblr artists (that aren't a part of a production staff, or are legitimately talented) feel like they're immune to criticism and react like pussies when encountering it.

And that's what worries me the most. The way things are going these days, and with some art schools mostly adopting the "come up with your own style" methodology to avoid such problems. It's probably easier to be self-taught and go through it with trial and error. Then maybe go to an art school if you can afford it (in both monetary and mental costs).

Those are actually still popular to some extent, although just slavishly imitating either artist isn't. It actually takes talent to do surrealism, though. It doesn't take talent to just draw ugly looking tards with red noses.

It's probably the same reason other kids are so determined to emulate the anime style. Art styles that look easier to draw will naturally attract more rookies who find realism and detail intimidating. Couple that with certain political agendas and snowflakery and you get tumblart.

I wasn't sure what thread to put this anecdote in, but here seemed close to appropriate. A friend of mine was accused of whitewashing for posting an uncolored picture. As in, literally just outlines. The kicker? This friend is black. Sadly no screencaps or anything, as this was a while ago, but we're still laughing about it to this day.
