Why does Tumblr have an obsession with vitiligo?

  • Suicide Girl model and America's Next Top Model contestant have it, spread on Tumblr, that's why.

At least the characters actually look (remotely) like themselves in these first two pictures.

But sadly, that's not the case for this last drawing.

In the second one, it looks like two of those sextuplets are wearing women's underwear. Is that a trend with Tumblr art too? Or is it to signify that they're trans or some other "non-male" gender?

Come to think of it, there was one piece of Tumblr art earlier in this thread that depicted a male (?) with hairy legs (?) wearing pink panties.

What is it with Tumblr artists and racebending the goofy, cheerful, comic relief characters as black? First the 2 skeletons from Undertale, now Jyushimatsu,,what are they trying to say?

It's literally the "funny black sidekick" archetype.

Have they been portrayed as afraid of ghosts yet?

And now we can start making "Tumblr: The Last Racebender" jokes with impunity. Seriously though, it's amazing in its own right that they're willing to do this without an ounce of self-awareness.

Because variety? I'm beginning to think some of the artists may be closet racists towards their own race. Or they want to be identified as black.

Either way it's incredibly stupid.

Next thing we know all the smart/nerdy characters are going to be turned Asian. But hey, people think it's empowering cause these stereotypes have positive qualities or because the character is well-liked.

Normally, Escher Girls and their commenters are the sanest of the feminist designers and game critics. But this moment where people were discussing a tacky pic from Huney Pop made me roll my eyes.

Person 1: I am still sitting here questioning why Steam has these games on their page.

Person 2: Because people do want to play them and do pay money to download them, so Steam will still continue to upload them. The Law of Supply and Demand. Economics 101.

Person 3:People want to play outright porn games too, but Steam doesn't allow them on ther in part because they don't want to alienate the people who buy their current line up. There's a pretty good argument that things like these alienate people too. Perhaps you should consider these things and the commenting guidelines.

How dare the second guy makes a good point and doesn't want sexy things banned because it makes a small number of people uncomfortable.

For person 3, that can be partly true, especially considering HuniePop having a uncensored version but even then, Steam itself is a business. They will try to reach out to more people. Even then, there are already some games that could match up in either having an Adults Only rating (which Hatred has though that is just pure violence) or sexual scenes (the Witcher fills that gap. All three entries have sexual encounters). Even though one can say these games would alienate people, Steam already has Greenlight which no doubt alienated some users. And then there was the paid mods fiasco. In short, Steam is a business that allows these Valve to gain money and/or letting a dev get some sort of notice, wouldn't matter if they threw some game with sexual imagery or violent scenes.

Also, anyone notice that when they draw transgender characters they always end up having feminine features no matter what?

Basically the trans girls look like how CWC sees himself and the trans boys always end up having something like exaggerated eyelashes/lips.

While the art in this one is pretty good, the characters in this one are supposed to be brothers if I remember correctly...

...how come they don't share the same skin colour?

So i dunno if this is exactly notable, but the Hotline Miami level editor came out recently, and it showed the actual faces of characters that are normally masked for the first time, and it pissed off a LOT of the SJW fans I know. They're buttmad that characters are depicted differently than in their head cannons like Corey being white instead of a generic dark-skinned race or biker not being Asian. They apparently think it's racist or whatever for the creators to depict them how they want.

It's worse than them being brothers. They are almost exactly the same genetically due to sort-of-cloning shenanigans. So really, they should at least have the same skin color.
