This has the potential to be fun.

Iran supports the Houthis, who the Saudis are currently bombing and starving to death in Yemen.

The Houthis fired a ballistic missile over Riyadh earlier in the week.

Meanwhile Iran also supports Hezbollah, which is a significant faction in Lebanon.

With the Saudis having Lebanons leader in custody, will they now drop bombs on them too?

Either way, stock up on fuel. Price of oil is gonna go up.

France left their embassy in Beirut 5 days ago along with the USA.

Kuwait has told its citizens to leave Lebanon immediately.

Who is that savage on the left? I specifically mean wearing dark shoes and slacks with white socks.

And Hezbollah is telling Saudi Arabia to get out of Lebanese affairs

Lol fuck Hezbollah.

It's really confusing why none of this being reported, like, nowhere.

It's way more important to REEEEEE about Trump feeding fish.

Oy vey! This is some shekel shaking news! Where will I get my cheap oil, Russia?

Watch the Sauds hole up in Mecca as soon as shit goes down knowing full well the Iranians or their allies wouldn't dare bomb the place in fear of hitting that fucking cube.

Shit like this is the biggest reason why sustainable and renewable energy needs to be the top priority for research and investment anywhere in the world. Fuck the environment, any first world country is ten days away from complete societal collapse without carbon fuel. Religious fanatics of any species couldn't give a fuck about how they'll be able to feed themselves afterwards, they just want their insert-magic-thingie here back and fuck the destruction they have to inflict on their own country men/women/camels.

It kind of sucks that the US has its throat jammed so hard on Saudi Arabia's moneycock that no matter how this goes down we're going to hear the otherwise tough guy Trump pledging our nation's support to the innocent good boy Saudis who dindu nuffin.
Or he can cut ties, tell Israel to cut ties, throw some money/weapons/logistics at whatever minority lives near the oil fields, and laugh all the way to the bank. Aren't a massive portion of the people that work for ARAMCO foreign nationals on contract anyway? It's optimistic, I know.

As I read this article I kept thinking I was misunderstanding something. Nope, the Saudi's straight-up detained the prime minister of Lebanon an forced him to resign. It'll be interesting to see where "we" come out on this...

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-...rabia-turned-on-lebanons-hariri-idUSKBN1DB0QL

“When Hariri’s plane landed in Riyadh, he got the message immediately that something was wrong,” a Hariri source told Reuters. “There was no one was waiting for him.”

Saudi Arabia has dismissed suggestions it forced Hariri to resign and says he is a free man. Saudi officials could not immediately be reached for comment on the circumstances of his arrival, whether his phone had been taken, or whether the Kingdom was planning to replace him with his brother.

Hariri’s resignation speech shocked his team.

Lebanese President Michel Aoun, a Hezbollah ally, told ambassadors to Lebanon that Saudi Arabia had kidnapped Hariri, a senior Lebanese official said. On Friday, France said it wanted Hariri to have “all his freedom of movement”.

Sources close to Hariri said the Saudis, while keeping Hariri under house arrest, were trying to orchestrate a change of leadership in Hariri’s Future Movement by installing his elder brother Bahaa, who was overlooked for the top job when their father was killed. The two have been at odds for years.

In a statement, the Future Movement said it stood fully behind Hariri as its leader. Hariri aide and Interior Minister Nohad Machnouk dismissed the idea Bahaa was being positioned to replace his brother:

“We are not herds of sheep or a plot of land whose ownership can be moved from one person to another. In Lebanon things happen though elections not pledges of allegiances.”

Family members, aides and politicians who have contacted Hariri in Riyadh say he is apprehensive and reluctant to say anything beyond “I am fine”. Asked if he is coming back, they say his normal answer is: “Inshallah” (God willing).

Oh, so deep "it's not just jews" internet crackpots were right all along that the Saudis are evil sack wearing goat fuckers? What 4D chess.

Things are looking up for Saudi. Monarchies struggle to field consecutive semi-competent leaders, but the Salman to Mohammad transition is going to be smooth as butter. Actually, Mohammad seems to be better at improv than his dad ever was, and the international climate has relaxed significantly since his term.
Good omens for the West too, provided they intend to provide some reciprocation for the decades of protection and free cash it's taken to get them to this point. (:optimistic:)

You're actually onto something with the "throw money at minorities" suggestion - the East coast of Saudi is majority Shia muslims with relatively few non-Saudis present (at least compared to the rest of the country), similarly the border with Yemen has lots of Shia muslims. These people also have some very legitimate grievances and a pretty hefty chip on their shoulder.

If shit starts kicking off Iran would probably start agitating in these areas and supplying small arms etc to start an internal religious conflict within Saudi, especially if the conflict is framed as Sunni vs Shia. Conveniently there's also some decent sized oil fields in Eastern Saudi IIRC
