Uh, not sure where the fuck you live but (after googling wtf that was) I’ve maybe seen one neckbeard in the last decade wear such a thing out and he was so nasty that his stench brought him to my attention before he’d reached my peripheral vision.

I still remember the first time I saw the word ‘fuck’ on a t-shirt and it was worn by some grimy and edgy meth-head looking guy 20-25 years ago. It was a black t-shirt with white print and said something about dude being a badass fudge-packing mother fucker and he didn’t look like the kind of guy any respectable establishment would allow into their kitchen so I just assumed it was to advertise himself as providing sexual services to the gays.

Overall, both experiences fell into the same category of offending autistic sensabilities.

Like, if you want your enamel bunny porno pin for you, then buy it and enjoy it, but most normal humans aren’t interested in that shit and advertising it will just earn you further ostracism like the fudge-packer.
Seemingly normal teens love to wear these kinds of things too. Part of it is just normal teenage boundary pushing, and part of that is the adults in the room have no more boundaries to be pushed.
I did several visits to a high school as part of the routine accreditation process at the peak of ahegao-wear. Additionally, girls were just wearing bras. Like, it's fifty degrees and they're complaining to the teacher that it's cold. Girl, put a damn jacket on. So I asked administration, what's up with your dress code? They are too scared of shaming girls' bodies or some shit so they have a dress code but it is absolutely not enforced. They seemed ignorant of what an ahegao face is and I didn't want to say, "look, I'm from the internet, let me educate you," so I just let that go.

This is probably an Autism Trap, but it really bothers me when people use 3d printing for mass production.

3d printing is supposed to be for prototyping or making a one-off of something custom or OOP. If you're mass-producing a marital aid or a knickknack, you're supposed to sand/caulk the 3d printed prototype up to spec, and then have actual molds made from it.

I'm friends with someone who does Brass casting and they use the Lost PLA method, it's like lost wax casting but it allows for more complex parts and he's done some anatomical castings using a 3D scan of someone's head printed the PLA version, coated it and cast it the process for the requester is cheaper and faster than the time it takes to make a traditional mould.

They have turned down a lot of NSFW style requests mostly because they dont want to scan, print and cast peoples dicks.

I honestly don't understand people who use etsy to buy anything but extremely specific craft supplies that are difficult to find elsewhere.

That's how I buy and sell on Etsy, sometimes its the only way to find a craftsman who can provide what your after without having to deal with lots of scummy Indian and Chineese places that make shitty copys of what your after. One thing that pisses me off is the Artsy "Upcyclers" who buy a tool or something else that's useful and abuse it to the point you can't restore it back into working condition, the worst I've seen is a lovely 1880's camera that was gutted and had a Plywood shelf installed in it with Tox screws with points sticking out of the frame that had a plastic plate with some "Art" on it and LED lights to illuminate it. They also had the lenses made out of brass with the glass removed and turned into "Industrial Art Vase / Pencil pot"

I posted this in the fiber arts drama thread since a majority of people that are in on this are Indie yarn makers and stuff, but in case you didn't know today is supposed to be the Etsy Strike because Etsy is increasing their fees

Their fees are super low. (It's gone from like 3% to 6% and it costs I believe 20 cents to list an item) Do these sellers not realize if you sell in a gallery or store they take 40% of the sale?

Man, I forgot about the Strike!
They say the Etsy fee is 6.5% but in actuality, there's a bunch of hidden costs and it totals around 30% fees. I done an experiment by putting up a listing costing £1 then buying it, I saw 64p added to my account. I'm not sure if it's because I'm a UK seller and it took away an extra 6p but that's still something to consider.
I looked at the amount after seeing the 15p listing fee so that's not part of the equation.

I noticed the 30% charge after selling two items for a total of £5 and getting £3.50 in my account.

lol I'm betting that it will last for less than a week
One seller I talked to said she's just gonna do it for two days.

Granted I’m no businesswoman so maybe this is a high commission fee, but do these people never fucking account for the fact that putting their stuff on Etsy is free and they’re getting marginally more customers than if they had their own site set up? Like what’s the alternative here?
People use Etsy because it's the Google of handmade stuff, everyone goes to it and it has a ton of traffic. Having your own website requires constant marketing and advertising and people like me (hobbyists or lazy people) can't or don't want to do that.
Plus, with your own website, you need to make back the cost of the domain and then some.

That's how I see it anyways.
I've just put my prices up to compensate for the fees.

people who protest never last long. look at how many people who said that they will never drink coke again but gave up on it after a few days. people have no backbones
