And right after the creator of YuGiOh was found eaten by sharks. Coincidence? Is the Japanese ocean wildlife seeking revenge?
I know right? Killing one old guy every ten years is clearly the next disturbing evolution of children getting shot in the face by the dozen every couple weeks. How embarrassing for those slant eyed idiots, don't they know that crime=exist therefore laws=OVER

I wish google... I wish

On a off-topic sidenote, an other politician was assassinated, this time in Brazil, just a couple of days after Shinzo Abe.

SAO PAULO, July 10 (Reuters) - A local official from Brazil's leftist opposition Workers' Party (PT) was shot dead on Saturday by a federal prison guard shouting support for right-wing President Jair Bolsonaro, according to state law enforcement and a witness.

Marcelo Arruda, a municipal guard and PT official, was celebrating his birthday party in the southern Brazilian city of Foz de Iguacu, in the state of Parana, when Jorge Jose da Rocha Guaranho entered the event and shot him dead.

According to a statement from Parana's public security office, Arruda and Guaranho "had a disagreement" at the birthday party, which resulted in both men being shot. Arruda died, while Guaranho was in intensive care, the statement said.

Previously, the Workers' Party had said in a statement that Guaranho also died.

I think it won't be long before a third politician might meet a similar fate and more sooner than we expect.

This shocked me hard and I really thought 'THIS is it", but then I realized Abe wasn't still the current PM. If he was, oh boy...

You obviously underestimate the retardation of gun control advocates. Somehow, the fact that he made his own gun is proof that gun control works. How exactly that makes sense, I have no fuckin' clue.
it's simple all we need to do now once guns are banned is ID check everyone at Home Depot who wants to buy duct tape, wood and pipes and put limitations on how much they can buy.

But only if they're white/asian, since requiring illegals to provide ID for anything is a sin.

I know it's to soon for jokes but are there any Hideo Kojimbo memes?

"We must ensure that nobody can just buy a lead pipe to craft his own gun!" - nutjobs

A complete ban would lead to a freaking Utopia where Dominicans and Hoodrats stab each other over a bag of chips worthy of 3$

Now, I may have been late to the party here, but there's suspicious connections that says this may be the western banking cartel sending a message to patriotic individuals in government.
  1. In the United States, the banking cartel's usual suspects are all cornered and the cartel lost the narrative (as evident by their pushes for chaos not resulting as intended). What's action does a cornered animal take?
  2. Donald Trump (the banking cartel labeled him an enemy following his term from 2017-2020) has a personal connection to Abe following the meeting while president.
  3. A day earlier, a Swahili/Hindi guidestone in Elbert County, Georgia was blown up, only for the rest of the guidestones to be professionally demolished later.
  4. The banking cartel's intelligentsia (y'know... MI6, CIA?) are known to be able to invade the minds of those who are less than sound to implant nefarious ideas. It's possible for Naicho to plant bad thoughts in Tetsuya Yagami's head. Especially with the guy being blinded by rage due to the Unification Church driving his mum into bankruptcy.

The banking cartel in the west has expanded from the United States to the world following the attachment of the Dollar's value to oil back in 1971. For those that haven't kept track, it's been 51 years since the Dollar went fiat.

As for Japan, it seems that Fumio Kishida has assumed office following Abe's death.
You are late, the gunman said that it was because he felt Abe was part of a group that ruined his family’s life.

I like the dog but why is everything else just so…so terrible?
Because when Japanese people try to copy things from other countries, they go all the way. (Doesn’t Japan have whole scale replicas of some foreign cities and countries?)
Yes, they have.

And now the political party that has been chipping away at that as a major part of their party platform just got a Supermajority because one of their most beloved former politicians was assassinated on live TV.

Like several people have mentioned, this was a Franz Ferdinand moment. A militarized Japan will fundamentally change the dynamics of the region. China has been utterly reliant on Japan being demilitarized and working under the presumption they'll be demilitarlized until they can invade and claim them as "always having been part of China." (IIRC, China has pulled some stunts with some of Japan's islands a few years ago, claiming they were Chinese islands and always had been, yadda yadda.)

In other words, if China wants to take over Taiwan, they might just now have a time limit. Japan as a militarized nation will NOT allow China to take the island.
While China may still want to take over Taiwan, to say military will get involved is to not understand Xi Jingping. China’s methods involve lobbying politics (maybe under the table depending on laws) and using infrastructure and industry debt traps to get countries to be pro-Beijing by passing laws or establishing terms that make certain things China’s bitch or make it where things adhere to how China views the world in order to do anything of value. Honestly, if the CCP have their way, the only reason the military would come in would be to help crush some insurgent protests over the close ties to China.

The only way Japan could really counter would be to figure out this angle and do something about it.
Shinzo's party won supermajority as I predicted and Japan is bringing back its military.

Shinzo won in the end
Much will be said about this, but there’s only one hope I have in this regard: make moves to make Girls und Panzer even a significant fraction closer to becoming reality.

What I’ve gotten from all this is that a surprising amount of westerners are apparently really in the know about Japanese politics.
It has to do with anime, but in a weird way and not just weebs obsessing over everything Japan.

The Japanese government funds a lot of anime production, as well as turning light novels into manga. The current disposition of the government and politics can affect what is being made.

That really adds perspective as to why someone would want to assassinate Japanese government heads.

So none of the poll predictions got it right? The answer was actually "unemployed guy who was mad at Abe for his involvement with Moonies cultists, who convinced said guy's mom to donate gratuitous amounts of money", or in summary "unemployed guy angry at Abe for associating with Moonies". I was really expecting ultranationalist/commie but apparently neither.

The real question is why wasn't there a "schizo" option.

Hell, even that cannibal that killed and dined on that French student in 1981 is a literal celebrity over there.
Nah, dude's a pariah living off the government now.
Oh please. Find me a single Japanese person who wants to go back to a period when the military was out of government control, drafts and confiscations were the norm, and if you were poor, you had to decide between starvation and beriberi. Even before Pearl Harbor, that was not a fun time for the average Japanese citizen.

Maybe you can find some ultranationalists who might think that, but they're sort of like the poor college commies who don't understand they'd be working in the mines under communism instead of getting a degree in feminist theoretical mycology.
If it's any indication, the last time someone wanted to overthrow the government to go back to the good old days of the emperor, he was laughed at moments before he an heroed.

Commie could still be on the table. The moonies are strongly anti communist. And nobody really care about them other than lefties seething and coping.
Could just be that the guy hated them for stealing his inheritance, but could also just be the failed son rebelling against the political beliefs of his mother
