No. People change their minds about suing all the time for all sorts of reasons. It's not an ethical issue. They could have left filing right up until the day before it became statute barred and it still wouldn't have been an issue.

You get disbarred for severe ethics violations. You can't practice, but you do still keep the degree.

Not at all. Ron received a mailing from BHBH instructing him to preserve all communications within days of the “we will be in touch”. He received a second document dump of letters within the past week. So the mean nasty lawyer was in touch. The only clock running on anything was Vic’s Statute of limitations on defamation claims. Which I believe is 2 years.

A lawyer cannot threaten to sue someone with no intention to sue or take action. In this case Ty was representing a client in a legal action. A bit of rubbing is part of the game.

I think this confirms Shane may actually be on the spectrum, even if I doubted that and just thought he was stupid. Ty Beard just publicly announced the case was filed in a way anyone neurotypical would understand but Shane literally couldn't understand it.

One year for defamation.

Two years for most of the others.

Four years for breach of contract (if that is even in the suit).
