The slapfighting is because it's just the internet, but the first part depends. These people are all varyingly affected by disordered behavior that leads them to a point where they're freaking out over having their (often maladaptive) fantasies interrupted, but the root cause isn't consistent. I instinctually doubt this one's autism claim just because self-diagnosing is endemic to online art communities at this point, but for other cases the autism is palpable (or at least can be believed) and pointing to it as a factor makes sense.I genuinely don't know why such a talented artist would waste their time on yumeshipping (they claim they're not a yumeshipper, but use terms like nonsharing) and Twitter slapfights. Like, idk man, I followed you for Minecraft art, not listening to you talk about Palestine and how you want to kill yourself over another artist shipping themself with a Minecraft character.
This isn't exactly the same issue even looking into places with more overlap like r/MyBoyfriendIsAI, but when you consider how the "neurodivergent" can attach themselves to GPT, someone who's skilled and otherwise "should be" sane but has a tendency towards fixating on/obsessing over fantasy can fall into a similar hole without needing a machine to guide them to it. Can't lie, I'd try to pick at this more, but this thread's a little short for a Diseased tag.
Something tells me this person also gets mad at the use of "yume" because it's cultural appropriation as if the people using the Japanese terms for selfship the most aren't already some kind of weeaboo. Also:
>These people fighting over this are delusional! But also I'm a nonsharing shipper over personal trauma, so back right off!
A mirror, please.
