I wasn't in charge of making mods at the time, only the technical stuff I was mostly involved in. Serge (the other cofounder) was involved in hiring moderators.

Also, the BBC and multiple news outlets who have tried to approach him two weeks ago have the wrong guy, they're mistaken! The major media, especially the BBC, is so corrupt, never do fact checking, and so they have the totally wrong guy. I also agree that whenever people refer to Small, they are referring to Rain and Sadness instead and just getting confused.

The right approach for a suicide site to stay alive is to rally around an Elliot Rodger worshipper who founded an incel forum that routinely tells people to go on spree shootings, and again he does not own it and didn't after he said his brother owned it.

You were explicitly listed as a frontend administrator, not just backend during that time.

IE you had the power to both mod the 17 year old minor you had as mod of SanctionedSuicide, and you also had the power to unmod/ban her, or boot off serge via the server.

You chose to keep an extremely suicidal 17 year old minor as main mod of your suicide encouragement site.

Previously in this thread you and the OP were demanding proof there were ever any minors on the forum and the creator of this thread was making vague threats at people claiming there were ever minors on the forum. You are entirely responsible for your own actions, not people pointing them out, and I think you should be honest about them without goading people to "expose" you through archives.

It's clear that you're just finding reasons to "expose" me, even though I clearly told you that I didn't really have a hand in picking new moderators as my partner handled those decisions. I wasn't even aware at the time that they were underage, nor did I really read every single post or screen anyone that became a moderator. Again, I handled backend technical things such as managing the server and everything else. My partner handled the community management side, as I am not as good at that. His strengths were at community management and I did all of the server management and backend work.

This isn't the gotcha that you think it is.

Tell me you never worked as a developer without telling me your never worked as a developer. Devs don't give a fuck about this type of drama and even if they did it's not like it's their responsibility to do something.

1. Person who moderates suicidal forum is suicidal themselves, utter shock and horror.

2. Is your problem is that he's 17? You talk as if you never went on 4chan while underage. I get what you're talking about but considering all the moral issues of the site, this is nitpicking.

Would it have been better if they said "hey you can't mod now you're underage, but come back in one year it'll be completely ok"?

This is true.

Even if I had front-end permissions, I didn't have authority at the time to make such a call.

By the time I did start taking more responsibilities and instituting stuff such as age limits on the forum, this mod would have been over the age of 18. My role at the time was purely technical and I really wasn't supposed to touch much outside of server, nor did I have authority to decide on admins/mods or to even issue warnings. My access was purely for fixing things that went wrong and to optimize and develop the website in purely a development role.

Small would be super bad in an actual interrogation situation where his lying would be potentially useful to him.

Similar, yeah.

I still had moderator permissions on the site, but it was understood that I didn't mess with the other stuff, as my partner handled it. I didn't really get into that kind of position until 2019-2020, when I did institute the age restrictions after getting the support of the other co-founder and the other administrator at the time.

It's strange because I was brought on to do the technical stuff at the start, but at the end, I did have all access and the ability to bring on new staff or dismiss them.

I dunno, ask Small, he was one of the two owners and frontend admins who modded her. I'd bet they also know if she ended up killing herself considering she was their inferior.

It's great that this isn't an interrogation, but an online forum, because if I was being interrogated, I wouldn't say a word to law enforcement without my lawyer being present. People dying on your website doesn't constitute a crime in any way, and those that try to insinuate that a website kills people are being dishonest.

If you have to twist other people's words, harass them endlessly for years via journalists, and make direct death threats and post people's addresses on the internet to attempt to get other people to do something instead, then you have not only lost the argument, but your own sanity as well.
