I wouldn't characterize it that way, there are certainly plenty of crackheads and crackhead-related crime in Southeast Michigan, but the homeless industrial complex isn't nearly as big around here and there isn't nearly as much of an environment of tolerance towards antisocial behavior. The police have never been "defunded" for example, and they will not ignore property crime or robbery. There are no open tent encampments that I've seen. Hard drugs are still criminalized. The worst vagrancy I've seen is in Ann Arbor (far and away the most woke city in the region, and where other cities will bus their junkies for "treatment"), and even there it's still absolute peanuts compared to places like Portland. Detroit saw urban decay and mass violence decades earlier than a lot of other big cities and no one wants to go back to that.

Detroit didn't have the burning and looting problems every other big city had during the Summer of Love in 2020. They had protests but they where actually mostly peaceful after the agitators figured out the DPD wasn't fucking around.

Whitmer's just doing that because she knows she has a decent shot at the presidency after Biden's out/dead and wants to puff up her Democrat bona fides in the wake of the Oxford shootings, though frankly I think just the fact that they're prosecuting the parents is a much smarter move.

The second we get a Republican governor (which we probably will after her, Tudor Dixon was a sacrificial lamb) that shit will get overturned if it manages to pass.

I was wrong. Virtually all big commercial loans of the scale we're talking here are "nonrecourse," meaning the lender takes the building but has no further right of action action against the borrower. This is unlike home mortgages, or even most small business loans.
 

San Francisco teacher suspended for targeting white male students, playing explicit song in class​

A San Francisco high school teacher was suspended after she singled out white male students and made an example of them, asking them if they “felt like a minority” during a class.

Parents and students reported Lowell High School teacher Nicole Noel Henares in September 2022 after she asked white male students to stand as a group in front of the rest of their class.

In a report obtained by Fox News Digital, students said they “felt confused, sad and there was no correct answer for them in that moment” when Henares called them out.
Henares was initially placed on paid administrative leave on September 15, 2022, while San Francisco Unified School District officials conducted an investigation.

The report also said the English teacher asked students questions that were not related to the lesson she had been teaching.
Students also claimed Henares used inappropriate materials in her class, including the Lil Nas X song “Montero/Call Me By Your Name,” which features explicit lyrics including “I wanna sell what you’re buying / I wanna feel on your ass in Hawaii / I want that jet lag from f—ing and flying / Shoot a child in your mouth while I’m riding.”

During interviews conducted on Oct. 14, 2022, and Nov. 10, 2022, Henares admitted to singling out the white male students who she said were “dominating the conversation” in class.

However, students who were interviewed disagreed with her, the report said.
“Additionally, Ms. Henares admitted that she had not taught any discussion norms to provide a safe space to discuss the sometimes sensitive topics she attempted to,” the report said.

After the conclusion of the investigation, the teacher was suspended for 15 days from Dec. 13, 2022, to Jan. 18.

Hanares has not responded to The Post’s requests for comment regarding the allegations.

Hanares started working for the San Francisco Unified School District in October 2020. It is unclear if she still teaches at the Lowell High School, but her LinkedIn profile lists her as a high school teacher in the district.

A 19-year-old San Francisco man has been charged in the death of a popular baker who was dragged by a getaway car chasing after armed robbers — and the woke activist’s family has urged authorities not to jail her two assailants because it goes against her social justice beliefs.

Ishmael Burch was charged June 5 by the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office in Oakland on suspicion of felony murder with robbery enhancements in the slaying of Jen Angel, owner of Angel Cakes, the San Francisco Examiner reported.

The suspect was first taken into custody in San Francisco on June 2 on battery charges.

Police confirmed Saturday that Burch was charged in connection with the Feb. 6 death of Angel, 48, who was robbed by two thieves who smashed her car window on Webster Street in Oakland and made off with her purse.

She chased after their getaway car, but got caught in the vehicle’s door and was dragged more the 50 feet, smashing her head on the sidewalk. She was put in a medically induced coma and later declared dead.
“As a long-time social movement activist and anarchist, Jen did not believe in state violence, carceral punishment or incarceration as an effective or just solution to social violence and inequity,” her loved ones wrote on a GoFundMe page after the brutal crime.

Her family is “committed to pursuing all available alternatives to traditional prosecution, such as restorative justice,” the post said.

“We know Jen would not want to continue the cycle of harm by bringing state-sanctioned violence to those involved in her death or to other members of Oakland’s rich community,” the family added.
The brainwashing has been remarkably effective.

Why? There's not really much there thats unique for tourism. You can see the bridge but thats pretty much it. Theres water and parks everywhere else in the country. Things were expensive 7 years ago, but its much more expensive now, and the food has actually gotten worse. You can't even shop normally since everythings behind glass in the stores that are still open. If you drive, your car's gonna get broken into if you can find parking. Everywhere Bart services is part of the SF cultural enrichment experience, and you're very likely to get culturally enriched on BART, especially if you ride outside of rushhour.

I recently went for work. Theres no shortage of office space for any company. I could see that through the windows that most of the offices were completely empty and looked as if noone has been in there in years. Any small company could pay to take over the lease of a bigger office space that is not currently being used for pennies on the dollar, but they don't because its expensive and they don't have free money to burn anymore.

I had a teacher like her. Fuck that piece of shit. She hated men, i mean really hated them. Wouldn't shut up about her ex husband. She would take every opportunity to shame us and put us down.
