Teppei wishes he had the influence to get people killed. That shit was all on the Sonozaki, where Ryukishi can't decide if they're supposed to be violent criminals or just a quirky little crime family, and Mion being the heir to them is never fully addressed. Teppei himself is just a bitch-tier crook who only has power over depressed simps and not-yet-twelve year old girls, and in the case of the latter, it's only because she lets him due to her own guilt convincing her that she deserves it.
The weirdest part is that Teppei doesn't even show up in Mei. Most of the six-star versions of cards have little to nothing to do with the unit story, but Satoko's Tatarigoroshi-inspired unit didn't even have anything to do with Tatarigoroshi at all, so the one story where Teppei should've been involved didn't even feature him. Rina at least manages to ruin Rena's life a couple times, and gets herself killed for her efforts, but Teppei is just ignored entirely.
 
Did anyone play Iwaihime? Supposedly it's from Ryushiki07 but the art is actually decent and some of the visuals looks great.

I mean, it's not bad (it's weaker than Higurashi/Umineko), but it's predictable and like with any Ryukishi material, I started rolling my eyes when I reached the "answer" parts. Kind of a letdown in my opinion because I was hyped by its presentation.

On a side note, if you want more Ryukishi material, he wrote an arc in the remake of Kamaitachi No Yoru (I'm pretty sure he wrote the "ghost romance" arc).
 
Details about Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Oni, coming February 25.

The magazine describes the manga as telling the "missing link" in the story, with the tagline: "The final demon awakens. A new Higurashi toward the truth." The manga is set in the Taisho Era in 1923. A certain tragedy in Hinamizawa changes the lives of one girl and her friends forever. The manga also focuses on the life of Oryō, the head of the Sonozaki family — one of Hinamizawa's Three Great Families — and feared as the "Empress Sonozaki."

Two new Higurashi manga recently launched in November 2021. The first manga, "Oni Okoshi-hen" (Kindle a Demon Arc) by Kei Natsumi, launched on Square Enix's Gangan Online website. The second manga, "Hoshi Watashi-hen" (Star-Crossing Arc) by Seigo Tokiya, launched in Square Enix's Monthly Big Gangan magazine.

It's one of the few cards that includes Satoshi, and the only one that has both Keiichi and Satoshi together, so it's pretty amusing that it ended up being valentines-related.
 
Were Keiichi and Satoshi even being teased together before Kira happened? Just saying, why would anyone take Kira seriously?

Batsukoishi was first released alongside Meakashi, so this pairing goes back a long time. Obviously, it’s all a gag, like the Battler/Ronove shipping in Umineko, but it’s not something that DEEN came up with.
 
Looking at all of the new Higurashi figures really makes me wish that Umineko got some figures. I would kill for a Beato or Featherine figure. Instead, all we get are gay ass stageplays and more Higurashi rereleases :(

I bought a Shion bikini figure from a Bookoff, and I agree on disliking the fanservicy aspect of it, especially given her pose is her tugging at the bottom of it, but I figured it's better off with me than in the hands of some coomer.
 
I WISH we'd get new official Umineko merchandise in the current year. If they made figs from when they did the Sanrio x Higurashi Mei collab, I'd grab the Purin and Shion design, it's cute and wouldn't make me feel like I'd be on a watchlist ordering it.

The ultimate blackpill is accepting that if they ever were to make another Umineko figure, it'd be a super fanservicey figure of Maria at the beach or some shit like that. Also its a crime that there is only one figure of Takano.

But yeah it really is a shame that the Umineko anime was dogshit and nips hated the ending, I would've killed for like a Battler crying figure or some shit. Shit would've been crazy.
