We would also have everyone calling Zuko an abusive incel rapist because all fire nation males are abusive psychotic incel rapists unless specifically noted otherwise (yes that includes Iroh).

... I'm so happy Last Airbender managed to come out and finish right before all this bullshit exploded everywhere like an overly aggressive cancer.
you shouldn't be too happy, the sequel LOK came out exactly when this bullshit exploded everywhere and became that overly aggressive cancer.

Oh, I know.

I never bothered with Korra, even when it was "good". Then I heard she actually broke the Avatar cycle and just... wow

How do you fumble and fuck up the center of your story's universe and still try propping up the "stunning n' brave" narrative? She is objectively the worst Avatar ever!

The thing is, Zuko was a misguided guy who literally grew up in a family (Along with his nation) being aggressors that launched a hundred year war and his father had been a very abusive bastard who scarred his own son physically, and mentally before trying to desperately find the Avatar in hopes of being welcomed home;after being banished...Zuko never crossed a line like Azula or Ozai, other than betraying Iroh and even then Zuko felt like shit for doing such a thing not the only parental figure he had besides his mother.

Comparing him to Adam because both were disfigured and bad guys rings hollow, because Adam literally DIES when the SDC mark is revealed but there's not a single follow-up or any information about Adam's past unlike Zuko...Imagine if Zuko died back in Book 1, and we never find out more about his past.

That's what Adam is.
Though as of v7 RT is probably giving Cinder her sad sympathetic backstory and her rebelling against the Atlas Elite... because RT still really wants Jessica Nigri to have a job.

Meanwhile Adam died for Bumblebee to be canon. Even Weiss' entire reaction to the SDC thing is a literal "OOF Sorry to hear that at least you guys are canon now."

Isn't that some for-profit University?
I just know it as the place where WWE has NXT take place.

Because despite what the creators have said, the first season plays very differently from the next 3 seasons. And the stuff they do from seasons 2-4 seem to fly in direct contrast of what A:TLA did with its lore and characters.

I disagree, she isn't the worst...

She's the 2nd worst, due to Wan's existence. Seriously Wan's a psychopath, compared to Korra's borderline mild sociopathy.

Don't get me wrong, I think uncut gems is mediocre and critics are jerking it off way to much. But one of the worst movies ever? Is the only other movie this person has seen Gigli (even then, Gigli is worse than uncut gems).

If you're interested, someone on Reddit posted how Gray had RT go all in on Gen Lock, other shows be damned. https://www.reddit.com/r/HobbyDrama..._how_one_directors_drive_to_make_his_passion/

Just wow

The absolute sheer fucking hubris, and everything detailed really shows off what Cuck Teeth truly was no matter how they’d projected themselves as a “fun company” to the point where Zuelch pre-Chimpout said she’d rather work for them over Hollywood, which is ironic in a post-Chimping. I feel especially bad for the creator of Nomad, whose show got horribly gutted and fucked over by Haddock’s mad quest for his vanity project;because that guy did not deserve getting screwed over.

The fact that they only wanted to do a S2 of gen;ERIC to protect Gray’s ass is even worse, and it sinks in that these fuckers were willing to do such a thing for Haddock but believed a mild-mannered fatass about Vic being a sexual predator;it leaves such a bad taste in one’s mouth even further.

The reason for another season may have been to just protect Gray at first, but now, the reason lies in RT and WM needing a return on their investment.

The classic "OH GOD OH FUCK OH SHIT! PUT MORE MONEY IN THE MONEYHOLE AND IT MIGHT BLESS US WITH MORE MONEY" approach popularized by incompetent entertainment executives around the world.
"NOOOOO! You can't invest all our resources and money in this dead miscarriage of a franchise at the expense of our cashcow! Muh sunk cost fallacy!"

"Ha ha, money through the shredder goes brrrr!"

I assume at least some of you here enjoyed RWBY at some point - can someone explain to me what exactly the appeal was?

I sat through the first 3 seasons and was thoroughly unimpressed. I could not get past the art style, the characters/dialogue were incredibly cringey, and the story was kind of generic. I’m usually able to get past shortcomings in a few of these areas if at least one of them is REALLY good, but honestly there wasn’t a single aspect of RWBY that I felt was anything beyond mediocre.

What did people see in this series? Was it just the cute anime grills

At the time, I enjoyed it because it showed promise and passion despite its flaws. As time went on, the passion clearly died out and it was becoming obvious that I should bail before I wasted more time.

As someone who's a filthy centrist about it and has a love-hate relationship with the series, I think it can be a decent 7/10 when it's firing on all cylinders. At this point it's a competently animated series with overall decent voice work and art styles (minus some issues with the costume designs). Mostly it's big problem now is the writing.
