Honestly, I’m hearing conflicting reports. If it wasn’t money Gray took from RWBY, it was manpower as a lot of RWBY animators and the Like were put on Gen Lock.
Oh, well, yeah, a few animators like Kim Newman (who did Sun's gunchuck scene in Volume 5) were brought over to the GL team.

When I was talking about resources I specifically was thinking of just money and such.

Again with more "downvote because I disagree completely" nonsense.

If anything this makes me easier to reiterate just how much of a bunch of autistic faggots the RWBY reddit people are. It's either agree with them or they threaten to ridicule and downvote your posts down to hell faster than EA trying to justify their "sense of pride and accomplishment" for the stupidity that is Battlefront 2 lootboxes.

Regarding Arryn Zech however, I would love to see some noteworthy trivia or even Julay on her.
If you want Arryn to be in the OP, I got some stuff in regards to that:

  • Apparently way back when RWBY was first starting out, Miles and Arryn dated and they broke up (albeit on good terms) because Arryn wanted to move to Los Angeles to further her acting career.
  • Arryn made this tweet after appearing on one of RWBY's many podcasts which led to the line of thinking of Adam Taurus being an abusive ex which is probably as argued about as much as "Monty's vision"....if not more. (https://twitter.com/arrynzech/status/833440353264865280?lang=en), (http://archive.li/iGWUk)
Also, when it comes to the idea of shippers going crazy, there's a big consensus that Arryn and Barbara enable/support/play into this A LOT. More than anyone in CRWBY. (https://streamable.com/fcn35)

There's also a lot of talk about Beauty & The Beast and how Blake, Yang, and Adam play into these roles, but it's mostly scattered amongst Twitter, Tumblr, and Reddit, and I believe Arryn played into that too, but again, that's stuff that's scattered over the Internet.

I absolutely love the 'submissive' suggestion part.

You can just smell the sarcasm oozing out of him

As for the whole fiasco with Arryn, I'll take that with a grain of salt since there's no telling how much of that is actually true since on Twitter you can say anything and people may eat it up still (the less informed maybe), but honestly, I've stopped giving a shit about whether they 'still follow Monty' vision' or not because in the end it doesn't matter when what was presented over the more recent volumes were still mediocre garbage that many other anime or shows will do better.

Arryn was specifically talking in that Twitter link about the blowup in Volume 4 over Blake slapping Sun, which saw a lot of people getting pissed at Blake given how otherwise unlikeable she was that year.

Im surprised andrew dobson hasnt attempted to get asspats from the fandom given his... intense interest in lesbians
I can't find my very first post on his thread but iirc Dobson did post a tweet regarding RWBY several years back (obviously before he was banned from Twitter). I think it was around Volume 4 since I said Volume 3 would trigger him given the "death" of Penny, Yang losing her arm, and the death of Pyrrha.

It's all in the OP under the FNDM category. RWBY's shippers are more or less fujoshis with Islamic fundamentalist levels of defensiveness and spergery.
Yep. Reading all that shit rn. As someone who witnessed fandom autism intermittently growing up I have to say though if you're a shipper being nice is not a fucking option. You will not get anything for it. You'll just bullied out of the fandom so another clique can seize the microphone.
But to me that just means the winning move is not to play or to like challenging media which is not beholden to fanservice.

People say the shipping is particularly bad here. Is that true?
Take it from someone who used to be pretty into the FNDM. If you come across a Bumblebee Shipper: APPROACH WITH CAUTION. While there are bumblebe shippers out there who are actually civil, the vast majority of them are rabid animals who will speed out at the smallest perceived slight at their OTP.

Is bumblebee the oppressed ship unlikely to win? That's uaually why shippers become insecure. Not always though. One of the worst shipper fanbases I have seen, or at least most annoying for me personally, are pretty much a lock and always were.

Actually it stands a pretty good chance of being canon since several staff members support it and the character whose supposed to be the male love interest of one of the characters has had their role greatly diminished... or the writers are just queer baiting for clicks which if that’s the case will end up biting them in the ass. I’m not saying the writers deserve to be mauled by rabid shippers but if you keep fucking with a rabid animal don’t act so shocked if it attacks you.

I am on the side of the Chad Bumbleshippers. Everyone else lives in their world.
I guess if you think it could easily be canon then they KNOW it will be canon so their entitlement is off the charts.

The shippers' entitlement is all too understandable as the show's main selling point is to pander to them thanks to Miles' galaxy brained writing. Personally I don't mind Bumblebee and I'd be among the first to welcome its canonization. Could have been an interesting ship had the characters been handled better, but it is what it is.

Okay, they're excessive because they think Miles will reward them if they are loud and drown everyone out.

They don't think that, they know it. Miles is a spineless cuck who has bent over at every opportunity to the rabid shippers to appease them and Barbara/Aryn, Yang and Blake VA's, who are weirdly invested in their own characters scissoring each other.
