One of the reasons why writers shouldn't being on twitter listening to people. Way too easy to cater and to mess up your story for pandering.
Also, since we're on the train of anime comparisons, found a fun one on twitter:

I'd like to point out that I hate Code Geass with a passion, but hey, at least in the context of the show, Charles was at least competent for the most part.
Edit: Also, now that I'm thinking about it...
Why does Salem just sit on her ass? She's immortal, she's supposedly all powerful, and can control grim... Why does she need intricate plans and henchmen to do her dirty work?
On another aspect, I never understood why her being immortal was such a big deal - Especially with all the information and assets that the show had given us. You don't even need to kill Salem to beat her, hell, the best solution in my mind is to ask Jinn how to seal/steal/destroy magical abilities (we know that semblances can be stolen, ala Mercury) and shoot Salem into space (Pull a jojo with Kars, she'll be trapped in space).
Edit 2: Doing one more because I can, cause I found the pinacle of dumbassery

Winry, Riza Hawkeye, General Armstrong (who, may I remind you all, KICKED HER MOUNTAIN OF MUSCLE OF A BROTHER'S ASS), Izumi Curtis...
While not protagonists, still central characters who are EXTREMELY important to the plot and could probably kick my ass any day of the week.
-) No LGBTQIA +
... Did they seriously make that thing longer again?
Anyway, that's actually wrong, there was a canon gay character, a bit of a stereotype, but still there.
Also, on another note, Oliver Mira Armstrong actually was really open minded when it came to her soldiers, remember, she had an Ishvalan soldier who was a high ranking member - And Ishvalans were pretty much discriminated against.
-) Harmful stereotypes...
Oh no, they have fictional races who hold similarities to cultures of our world - That must make them harmful stereotypes...
Oh, and it wouldn't be complete of the dumbass RWBY fan without:
