It's been only 7 episodes so far and RWBY again remind me of its problem "telling, not showing", I'd love to if anyone can correct me where I'm wrong.
1a) From previous episodes, how characters keep saying Mantle is suffering because of strict regulation and helping Atlas. These reasons contribute to negative emotion -> Grimm. Yet, Atlas handles Grimm just fine with Penny and Ace Ops. Even then Robyn Hill group is graduated Hunstmen from Atlas, so they can hunt Grimm fine without the loicense issue.
The worst I've seen at Mantle is how boring the place, you have maybe some hobos and "rebels", but "rebels" are causing even less order in society. Funny how Robyn Hill said "we don't condone violence".
1b) About council and voting, it never explores what Mantle - Atlas like before fall of Beacon, how people life is. Except Faunus discrimination, everyone knows that. Because I want to know more, how strict or stricter regulation affects overall supply needed for everyone in the city. Then how it affects Schnee Dust Company, so Jacques can do "more jerbs" for everyone.
Then Robyn Hill being "vigilante" while still running for election, Ironwood and his Ace Ops are letting her group activities slide away until her group steals a supply truck. If Ironwood is that desperate and "paranoid", why doesn't he have any tracking device on those trucks? I mean, they knew an unidentified - unauthorized Gunship flew into the city in episode 1.
2) Why is Nora the person againsts Ironwood method the most? Where is in her backstory gives this indication Nora caring Mantle so much? It's like RT wants to make that Ren - Nora moment, they have no idea to make it natural and since RT "forgot" about Ren - Nora development, they just shove "against or with Ironwood" in Ren - Nora.
3) Up until now, nowhere in RWBY shows Weiss caring about Schnee company, maybe she cares about her family name in early volume at most. Even in volume 4 or 5, Whitley made fun of Weiss for not pleasing Jacques, so I assume only Whitley cares about being the next heir in family name and company. I mean like the early goal of main cast was to become Huntsmen and then they even have an episode with the main cast got promoted.
I don't even remember Willow appearing in any previous volume, somehow Jacques tried to gaslight Weiss making Willow broken when it's clearly Jacques is an abusive piece of shit. So now they have Willow being drunk and it seems she doesn't give much caring or protection to Whitley either.
All of those things from point no.3 come down to: is the conflict within Schnee family is just having an a-hole father? Not much with the company name and Faunus exploitation (ahem, Adam)? Then if exposing Schnee brand mark on Adam face would show everyone how much of an a-hole Jacques beside his promise for more "jerbs". Isn't this a good opportunity for Yang - Blake helping Robyn Hill more in the future? But well, Adam is also an a-hole to RT, so no justice for the Faunus in Mantle.
Other note: Is it only Weiss and Winter have semblance in the family? Because I thought semblance and aura thing would run in the blood. I know there can be exception, like Jaune - his sister(s) and Whitley.
