If there was a genuine "trans genocide", then all you have to do to avoid being killed during it is stop wearing your pronoun pin and cat ears publicly. Most of them don't pass, so they could just "boymode"/"girlmode" (this means to just dress like their birth sex). And the few that do pass wouldn't be rounded up in the camps because they're not as obvious.
When you really push back on this, they fall back on the whole 'making conditions so bad that people can't live in them' definition.
