Yeah, the early days of the Tranch expressly mentioned that it was intended as a safe haven from trans genocide.

Realistically, if there were death squads of Elusive Earls with government backing, given the means and legal capacity to exterminate or imprison Troons, then Penny and his at most six gun-“women” , wouldn’t have done a lot to protect Kevin and the Alpacas.

It’s a very American thing to think though, to be fair to Penny .
All they need is their guns, a few family members and close friends and then the government will be unable to stop them.

I really really really do not get why they have such a hard time just... not consuming any media associated with JK and let that be that. There are artists/companies that I don't like and I just ignore them.

The Harry Potter tv show is likely to be huge.
 
I thought the Fantastic Beasts movies were ass and the new trailer looked really bland, but I have HBO for other stuff so I will give the new show a watch just so another 4 billion troons die from the excess Hitler particles in the atmosphere.

I've been having to be careful with money lately, but I still swear that I'm going to buy Hogwarts Legacy for either Switch or PC (PC gets mods, so I'm leaning that way) just because I want to hear thousands of tranny voices suddenly cry out, only to be suddenly silenced.

Sometimes I just think about the power this one story had and continues to have for almost 30 years now.

At the end of the it's just a fantasy story about the boy wizard going to magical school but it became so much more.

And the level of hysterical meltdown it creates among troons

Because this show is a dream come true for them. So many Harry Potter book fans wanted HBO show since the moment Game of Thrones started and it became possible to do something like this on television. They wanted this for so long but now they have to hate it because the Party tells them to hate it.

That's the whole hilarious irony in all of this. They repeat the same talking point- who asked for this? Well THEY asked for this. They wanted this for years and years.

This is late and not terribly topical, but I like looking into old fandom stuff. I don't remember getting this impression when I read the book but I was pretty young at the time.

I went to fanfiction.net and did a search of the Dumbledore/Grindelwald pairing and sorted by date - there were 179 results total (pretty small for such a large fandom) and 46 of those works were released before the release of the movie in 2016. Before the movies I think it definitely counted as a rarepair.
