Rowling Derangement Syndrome - "TERF/Woke Author Bad!!1"

I normally like Papa Meat's videos, but it appears he has Rowling Derangement Syndrome. Haven't finished watching the video yet, but within the first few minutes, he calls Rowling "crazy" (with no reason as to why he calls her this, so I have to assume it's because she's anti-tranny).

Edit: Yeah he starts hardcore derangement sperging around the 12-min mark. Calling her an "old femcel TERF" for not supporting trannies and he's assmad that the characters, IN 90S BRITAIN, are mostly white.

Unfortunately, MeatCanyon has always been off the rails when it comes to stuff like loony-troonism, despite him being fairly non-political and center aligned. He also sperged out about ICE back when that was popular.

Honestly, if everyone just didn’t respond to troons, they wouldn’t have half the influence they did. If you apologise, they know they can control you. If you double down, they’ll pile on. If you don’t respond at all, they really can’t do anything.

I don't watch all his videos, so maybe there's been other leftist sperging from him that I missed (like the ICE spergout you mentioned), but yeah he seemed pretty non-political in the videos I have watched, so I was kinda taken aback by the troon whiteknighting he did. He probably just says whatever the popular social media opinion is to get more clicks. Cringe.

He also doesn't understand why race swapping Snape is a big deal when even people in the comment section were calling him out on it. No, really. I read the comments and they laid out bare exactly why him being black was a problem.

The issue isn't necessarily about silencing the loud and insane perverts on Twitter, but the fact that, engage with them or not, they'll still work their victim narrative on Bluesky and other hugboxes where you can't engage anyway. They'll just lie and make shit up until one of them decides to take out their feminine rage on JK by stalking outside her house or some other TERF who makes an easier target. They don't need to be validated, because they don't engage with reality. The worst bullying them does is cause the tard centrists to say "both sides are bad" when they were never going to engage with TERFs in good faith anyway.

I agree getting into slapfights with them doesn't help long-term though. Shine a light on as much of their retardation as possible, use their own words and let bystanders figure out what troons are really like. Luckily, it doesn't take too much digging to make a tranny look repulsive.

I don’t watch his Papa Meat channel, but he had that one cartoon about ICE that was obviously shitting on them, so I suspected he was a leftist.

I think we're talking across each other. This coming week WoLF is going to Washington DC to lobby for women's spaces. Within a few hours the Sall Grover's case will be decided in Australia. And the women of WoLF and Sall Grover, and so many others like Julie Bindel, Posie Parker, and so many others have paid a great price for speaking up. Even JK Rowling has paid a price, although she is as untouchable as anyone can be. Graham Linehan has paid a great price. And I have so much respect for those who are publicly speaking out. I'm not talking about arguing with random troons on Facebook. I'm talking about speaking in public about these issues. I'm sorry if I misunderstood. If you're talking about arguing with a troon on social media, yeah, that's pointless. If we're talking about publicly talking about the fact that Andrea Long Chu won a fucking Pulitzer for saying that sissy porn turned him into a troon, then lots of us need to speak out publicly about that bullshit.

No that’s fair, I think we’re definitely on the same page. I agree that speaking out publicly is an admirable thing - part of the reason I like this thread is because Rowling does so with such skill.

I know it's played for comedy but that doesn't strike me as very leftist, more and more I see furries protected under the LGBTQ+ umbrella and criticism of them described as "bigotry."
