I still think Fry was everyone's first choice for Dumbledore and thus agree with your post.I think JKR picked Hugh Laurie deliberately and gave him a massive financial incentive, the timing is just too good. He acknowledged Stephen Fry as 'my colleague' which is devastatingly neutral and definitely makes me wonder about what the last straw was between them.
What is this shite? They're moving the goalposts back??? This is the opinion that they said made her the queen Nazi of tranny death camps in the first place! How are they getting away with this? What changed is you people sending her 10 million death threats.

If you've noticed, basically half of all troons are philosophy majors. The most value they'll ever get out of their useless degree is deploying a Diogenes reference via Xitter reply to a woman who's far more successful in her chosen career than they could ever hope to be. In their day-to-day lives, they're professional dog walkers and Reddit moderators.accusing you of shifting definitions in a never-ending Sisyphean quest to cover for the shortcomings of a previous but flawed definition, with the inevitable implication there is no definition (this is why they love the Diogenes stuff), so you can't really win half the time.
She wouldn't be as politic about it and she probably has become more "radical" in her beliefs, but I think that the sentiment in that post isn't fundamentally contradicted by anything she's said or done since. What changed is you people sending her 10 million death threats.

While she probably would draw the line at men in dresses breastfeeding infants or women with beards shaming gay men for not having sex with them, these reasonable limits were always implied. The limits might have become more extensive, but I don't think they have fundamentally changed. Our Queen in 2020 said:I respect every trans person's right to live any way that feels authentic and comfortable to them.
She probably wouldn't actually march with trannies for her own safety and she probably doesn't feel like giving these guys an inch anymore, but the message she's trying to send here is that she doesn't want trannies to be persecuted for being trans. Being required to use the sex-appropriate bathroom like everyone else in the world is not discrimination "on the basis of being trans". Even the fact that she's making that distinction shows that even 5 years ago she didn't think that not carving exceptions out for trannies was transphobia. I think that if cross-dressers were being jailed or even fined she would oppose that today. Our Queen in 2020 said:I'd march with you if you were discriminated against on the basis of being trans.
This is the one part that she would still say word-for-word without hesitation today. Our Queen in 2020 said:At the same time, my life has been shaped by being female. I do not believe it's hateful to say so.

Diogenes
Oh god this chicken bullshit is going to be a whole thing, isn't it?
A company called Ultimate Guard is selling licensed HP Hogwarts House-themed deck boxes. Nerds are seething.

A redditard would crawl back to his jar the moment Plato and his students would "downvote" him. Diogenes would stick with his unpopular opinions.Controversial opinion here, but that stinky, public masturbating nigger was literally Reddit - The Philosopher and I wish he'd've been made to kill himself like Socrates was.
any proof or source?BoardGameGeek is now banning people for voting up Codenames: Back to Hogwarts.
I never read a Harry Potter book in my life. When they were coming out, a girl I knew was a huge Harry/Draco shipper, and the whole adult fandom creeped me out so I avoided it like the plague. The troons have made me want to get into it just as a repellant.I wonder if the troons have fully considered that their RDS has actually made some people, like me, more fond of Harry Potter than they once were.
On the transtern front, nothing has changed, as they were already sending her rape and death threats in 2020. It's no wonder that she eventually decided to go scorched earth instead of wasting time trying to please a group of lunatics who demand complete submission to their agenda. What changed is you people sending her 10 million death threats.

"The dolls" (gay trannies) are also people, so why do trannies insist on using the slogan "Protect the dolls" instead of "Protect people"? They're literally committing tranny genocide on themselves by implying that the dolls aren't people.
Case in point:When talking about those belonging to the group of people who can get pregnant, there's no reason why you shouldn't call them "women" or "female" because only women can get pregnant. By refusing to accurately name this group, TRAs obfuscate reality and make it more difficult for women to talk about their experiences and issues that affect them specifically because they are members of the sex class that bears offspring, as well as for the whole group "people" to talk about reality.
This is absolutely true, and it puts them on the offensive when the subject comes up. You get to take the position of normie fan just talking about something you love, and they have to be the ones to bring up “JKR IS A LITERAL NAZI GENOCIDE (stochastic) MURDERER” - which is a much more fringe and radical opinion than they realize, and makes them look insane to the observer. I’ve seen it happen many times now.I wonder if the troons have fully considered that their RDS has actually made some people, like me, more fond of Harry Potter than they once were. Like, I read the books as a kid, they were pretty fun, but I wasn't a superfan, only saw one or two of the movies, and by the time I got to college I actually felt that as a series Harry Potter tends to be a little shallow. Entertaining as a story but not exactly great literature, even by YA standards.
But the RDS alone is reason enough for me to go deep in the tank on HP, because it's effective troon repellent without having to actually talk about trannies at all. Normal people just think "oh, she likes HP, she's got some HP coffee mugs and apparel" but it will visibly irritate troons and cause them to leave the room in a way actually confronting them or arguing with them won't.
Before you go and do that, isn't there somebody you forgot to ask?I never read a Harry Potter book in my life. When they were coming out, a girl I knew was a huge Harry/Draco shipper, and the whole adult fandom creeped me out so I avoided it like the plague. The troons have made me want to get into it just as a repellant.
I have never consoomed any Potter media, other than Hogwart's which I haven't played yet although I plan to at some point. My first impression was anything that got kids lined up at a bookstore couldn't be all that bad. Also people I knew whose judgment trusted said it was decent fluff.I never read a Harry Potter book in my life. When they were coming out, a girl I knew was a huge Harry/Draco shipper, and the whole adult fandom creeped me out so I avoided it like the plague. The troons have made me want to get into it just as a repellant.
It works. I also like that it's the troons deplatforming efforts backfiring on them, cause these guys really do think it's OK to bully someone out of their job, grief them on the internet, ruin their marriage, whatever, if they committed the Unforgivable Curse of being transphobic (definition of which is subject to change day to day.) Rowling doesn't need my money, but she can have my support for her views. She's unsparing and basically un-cancelable.I never read a Harry Potter book in my life. When they were coming out, a girl I knew was a huge Harry/Draco shipper, and the whole adult fandom creeped me out so I avoided it like the plague. The troons have made me want to get into it just as a repellant.
Yeah you can play dumb and it's awesome. Make them explain the derangement when they think it's self-evident.This is absolutely true, and it puts them on the offensive when the subject comes up. You get to take the position of normie fan just talking about something you love, and they have to be the ones to bring up “JKR IS A LITERAL NAZI GENOCIDE (stochastic) MURDERER” - which is a much more fringe and radical opinion than they realize, and makes them look insane to the observer. I’ve seen it happen many times now.
I was one of those childhood fans who had just begun to think, “Well, I still love HP, but maybe it’s time to let it rest,” and now I’m fully back on the Potter train, feels good man, I get to keep enjoying my silly wizard series and repel troons its win win.
The wit makes its way in the novels, she has a real knack for naming places and characters.I may not be attracted to endless series of lengthy novels in a setting that doesn't appeal to me, but she has a rapier-like wit in short form.
