I love how in every project he does, there's always one or two people saying "I'll be patient and wait, I really believe in this guy and want to see an indie developer succeed." Man, if you're that willing to part with money and get nothing in return, I'm looking for venture capitalists on my cold fusiuon reactor. (Assuming it isn't just Robert sockpuppeting, which seems totally likely to me.)

"Last great 16 bit game?"

Wasn't that Barkley, Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden?

I feel like a Necromancer, but looks like he's put up some vids as of...October? It really doesn't look any better than it did back when this thread started..
Oh and he still has the full-blown delusions of grandeur thing going on...

The thing with Bob is that it's hard to tell where actual ego begins and dumb viraling ends.

I've had some private talks with the guy before and he came across as surprisingly normal. The whole 100-day protest was supposed to be a viral ad, I can buy that at least, but he was so dedicated to the act that it's possible he might have started believing his own bullshit because at this point he's still going and no-one really cares about it any more.

Who's to say.

The game actually did get approved on Steam Greenlight.

What will happen now is a mystery. I'm assuming bob will piss off Valve somehow.

Greenlight is just turning Valve into a flea market, with the good and bad that entails. Sure there's gonna be a load of crap, but it's better than the sterile pre-selected catalogue of the Walmart, and sometimes you come across a gem you'd never have found anywhere else.

So, to continue this analogy, Bob's Game is the weird man with the Vietnamese accent so thick you can't tell if he's even speaking english, who sits in the dingy booth in the corner selling bootleg Bollywood tapes. It's just baffling as to what he thinks he will accomplish.

Bootleg tapes of Bollywood movies have a way higher chance of being entertaining.

TWO JESUS ENTER, ONE JESUS LEAVES

this is some vintage drama. not vintage like jameth or shea, but when he was doing his unbelievably autistic "hunger strike," pelloni was the center of attention in a lot of video game circles, especially GameFAQs and other Nintendo orbiters. the guy sat there in his longjohns, his door barricaded with a chair, a bizarre countdown clock mounted over the door, acting like a perfect fucking nutcase; he'd twitch to life, throw some shit around his room or scream for a minute, then return back to a fetal position and moan for half an hour. and this show went on for DAYS. all because Nintendo declined to tarnish their coveted Seal of Quality Official by letting this gay nerd put it on his shitty fetch quest. and i'm to understand that's literally all it was, after x years of development, just a single fetch quest and a "COMING SOON!"

a video was posted earlier in this thread showing a trip he took to a Gamestop or an EB Games or whatever, and it was straight out of Chris's playbook - the guy went there just to vandalize shit and aggrandize himself and his great works. i'm pretty sure he did it on multiple occasions, with or without filming himself.

everybody who came into contact with this goober was worse off for it. i think i remember a running theme where his mom was constantly fed up with his bullshit, lol. the ED article on this guy is really thorough, it definitely paints the complete picture. that said, the messiah complex is something i don't remember at all, at least not to this degree, holy fuck.
