Kickstarter allows you to show people a cool idea and ask them for money. Sometimes it results in successful things like a Veronica Mars film, Neil Young's music player that looks like a Toblerone, or a potato salad.

Other Kickstarter projects are terrible and deservedly fail. This thread is for us to memorialise these brainchildren that only a brainmother could love.
I'll start with this noble effort from Righteous Comics which somehow got $40 of the way toward its $3,000 goal.

There's also this project, hoping to make a line of mugs and t-shirts with the slogan "I told you so" printed on them, which aimed low but still missed completely.

I just don't understand this one. You pay this guy so that he'll use your shitty fan-art and website advertisements on a clusterfuck of a poster. Shouldn't he be the one paying people to use their art? Are aren't there copyright issues when he sells this shitty poster and it contains licensed characters? Worse, it's close to succeeding.

So, this guy makes a bunch of money off of your art, and you get the privilege of buying a poster of it. Fuck you, asshole.

Dude, and potential lolcow, makes terrible action figure reviews with zero personality and blames the fact that he doesn't have a fancy camera. As if a camera will make up for his myriad failures. Uses DC Comics artwork and copyrighted properties to promote himself. Will review something of your choosing for $500. Unsurprisingly, he's a DevArt weenus.

I wonder sometimes how hard it is for people to pull these shit idea's out of their arse.

For instance the "PetPhone" lol.

Why do people use Kickstarter for t-shirts? Aren't there 50,000 websites that could print your logo or designs on t-shirts as they get ordered?
Undoubtedly, yes there except some people think using Kickstarter will get them money compared to just having a website.

Almost forgot, looks like the Cybermatrix is up for another Kickstarter. Watch the video, look at the description, see his previous projects which are pretty much more of the same. The guy is, without a doubt, much better at designing video game consoles than Chris. Which isn't saying much.

Here's a really stupid question, but if someone doesn't reach their goal, do they still get to keep the money?
