Can someone post it here?

In all honestly I dont think even a leftest jury would look at Meyers kids and look at how hes supporting thier foray into thier own religions and cultures and say hes a racist.
But they would look at RCM and say he deserved what Waid did and worse because Ya Boi's politics are to the right of Stalin.

It's available now if anybody cares. It's essentially the same as Waid's arguments in prior motions i.e. Waid is a dumbarse and dindu nuffin.

Waid's lawyers have pretty much given up haven't they?

So can anyone break down that this latest motion means for legally r-tarded people like me?

Is this Waid refiling a "dismiss this case because Zack is a Nazi!" motion for the 42nd time, or what?

Nothing. It's just regurgitating the arguments the magistrate already threw out, in almost identical language, and expecting a different result from the very same judge who already threw them out.

The only difference is the pleading has been amended to include the time Mark Waid physically went to Texas to defame a Texan and then defamed a Texan while physically present in Texas and they're reduced to the utterly moronic argument that somehow a federal court in Texas doesn't have jurisdiction over this.

It's stupid and they should be sanctioned.

I get the feeling it's more Manbaby Waid and Coattails Zaid rather than the Texas lawyers who forced this rehash of rejected points down the judge's throat, since the first guy is a screeching bag of rat carcasses and the latter only cares about flexing and doesn't give a shit about being ethical.

Shit like this is why people have almost no faith in the court system.

They are clearly trying to drag this out for as long as possible with motions and appeals and motions and more motions. Each one adding weeks if not months as the opposing party has to file a lengthy response to each of them. Even when Waid loses the case, he's just going to file an appeal and start the whole process over again.

I think there should be some point where the judge can slap someone in the face and tell them to stop being a dick and get on with it already. I know that would be bad for due process, especially if you get a biased judge, but this thread is almost a year old and the entire case can be summed up as:
"This happened in Texas."
"No it didn't!"
"Yes it did."
"Nuh-uh!"
"Yeah hon."
Over and over for a year.

I see the term sanctions thrown around, but short of giving Waid a kick in the balls for every day wasted, I struggle to think what could be appropriate.

Remember this isn't any fun for Mark Waid either and Meyer has a bigger GoFundMe. In fact, court proceedings are so generally fucking unpleasant for everyone involved that eventually someone cries uncle in the vast majority of cases.

Nick put it best in one of his streams (paraphrase) The legal system is made to be very expensive and uncomfortable to force people to solve their own problems, but when they don't it keeps them uncomfortable to remind them they could have just not been dumb.

This is the Court of Chancery, which has its decaying houses and its blighted lands in every shire, which has its worn-out lunatic in every madhouse and its dead in every churchyard, which has its ruined suitor with his slipshod heels and threadbare dress borrowing and begging through the round of every man's acquaintance, which gives to monied might the means abundantly of wearying out the right, which so exhausts finances, patience, courage, hope, so overthrows the brain and breaks the heart, that there is not an honourable man among its practitioners who would not give--who does not often give--the warning, "Suffer any wrong that can be done you rather than come here!" Charles Dickens, Bleak House

Ah Dickens. . . the overblown wordyness of Lovecraft and Tolkein but with the prose of Shakespeare and Hemingway

The difference is Waid is a delusional manbaby who while crying that he probably can't buy more shitty toys or comics, is probably dancing in glee and being forced off any online source so he can't brag about how Meyer has similar issues and how he'll legit win and he'll go homeless. I bet his desire to hurt due to being a cowardly psychopath overwhelms the hurt of court fees and processes.

I doubt it. If he's anything like the Mark Waid described by Gary Groth and others, it's a constant source of rage and misery to him that he's suffering this horrible injustice, and he's probably constantly on his phone to his lawyer screaming and LITERALLY sobbing and throwing things and completely melting down.

I should note that Waid most likely not suffering; from the under the table donations to his legal fund which he's most definitely getting from his various comic pros and Grant Morrison getting him a cushy do-nothing job with a fat salary at the company Morrison is now working as an EiC at. And Marvel just gave him two new minis to work on that are geared towards the TPB market (Invisible Woman mini and History of the Marvel Universe; the later of which will most likely be given evergreen status meaning Waid will make money off of it for ages)

Seriously, this is a dude who screams and literally sobs tears over absolutely nothing while smashing his phone. There is no way he isn't completely in a rage about this.

With how long it's taking, Meyer v Waid is starting to remind me of Jarndyce vs Jarndyce.

I kind of doubt that he is getting much through his insider pipelines. I get the feeling that he is an ever increasing embarrassment. The actual comic creatives mostly don't like him. He is a gatekeeping monster and a manbaby of explosive temper. Yeah a few with deep pockets will give a bit to show the flag. Or seek to in some way keep him employed. But his actual support net is likely so much less than we think. I mean even in that cushy job he was placed in by Morrison look at the escalating scandays. He fired a black woman from her own book to give it to his white ex Girlfriend. He then proceeded to publicly castigate a known black creative as a "white supremacist" for daring to critique the absolute garbage he and kwanza shat out. And finally Marvel had to publicly pull his piece from their Anniversary comic for being far too much an Anti American Screed. Mark is spiraling down. Doors are quickly closing to him.

Could it not be both? I can also imagine him having a break down when things don't go his way. But until then, I agree with @Adamska when he says he's likely dancing with glee about this.
